Chipolopolo Boys trainer Herve Renard gave international debut to Roan Unitted shot stopper Bob Banda while Lusaka Dynamos rookie defender Hichani Himonde won the right to partner Elijah Tana at the heart of the defence.

Red hot Emmanuel Mayuka and Francis Kombe started upfront while Banda’Thierry’ Henry, Felix Katongo, Rainford Kalaba and Green Eagles’ Kebby Hachipuka were deployed in midfield.

Despite Zambia enjoying a large part of possession, the first half ended goalless.

In the second half, the technical bench made six changes and introduced the likes of Stophira Sunzu, Billy Mwanza, Clive Hachilensa, Whiteson Simwanza and Kola.

The lads showed a bit of technical skill but their passing was quite and build up was slow allowing Kirchheim to close them quickly.

But the turning point came in the 78th minute when the Zanaco hitman, Kola scored for Zambia, giving the Copperbullets a deservely lead.

With scouts from FC Cologne watching from the stands, the 19 year old scored his second for the night five minutes later to give Herve Renard’s charges a morale victory ahead of the September 6 mouthwatering clash against the Hawks of Togo.

This is Kola’s fifth international goal this year and his third brace of the season so far. He has taken his tally for season to 12.

Zambia’s friendly match against another Germany side SV Bonlanden has been cancelled as a sign of respect for the late President.
