In Finland, promoted side AC Oulu has been busy with friendly games and eight days ago, they walloped a lower tier side by 8 goals to nil. Midfielder Dominic Yobe scored two goals while his elder brother Donewell also got a goal though he was red carded in the 85th minute.
Demoted side RoPS has also been busy in pre-season games fixtures and is banking on the services of the Zambian contingent consisting of Stephen Kabwe, Godfrey Chibanga, Nchimunya Mwetwa, Christopher Musonda, Chileshe Chibwe and star player Chanda Mwaba. Read more…

Lwandamina: spared the blushes as his new side was held 1-1 by Nkwazi
Former Zambia defender Bronson Chama last gasp screaming free kick spared the blushes of new Kabwe Warriors coach ‘Chicken’ George Lwandamina to rescue a point at newly promoted Nkwazi.
The Police outfit featuring former Portugal and South Africa based influential midfielder Perry Mutapa looked to have stolen the three points with a second half headed goal only to concede at the death.

The local league in Zambia resumes this afternoon with a some scintillating matches to savour around stadia dotted around the country.
Champions Zanaco should have faced runners up Zesco Utd but are away in Zimbabwe to prepare for the CAF Orange Champions league against Asec Mimosas at Sunset Stadium next weekend.
