Kachepa: Jacob passes a late fitness test

Zambianfootball.net understands and can exclusively reveal that striker Jacob Mulenga has passed a late fitness test and could be involved at some point in tomorrow clash against Egypt.

The 25 year old has been battling with groin injury he picked at his club and has only seen 30 minutes of training since arriving from Holland on Tuesday.

Five SA based join squad as Chipolopolo start shaping up for Egypt

Five South African based players have arrived in the country and will this afternoon be part of the Chipolopolo Boys’ first training session in Kitwe.

 

Goalkeepers Kennedy Mweene and Kalililo Kakonje, Defenders Joseph Musonda and Chintu Kampamba and midfielder Noah Chivuta are already in camp while Collins Mbesuma will arrive after 4 pm with Omanian based Francis Kasonde scheduled an hour later.

 

Israel based duo of William Njobvu and Emmanuel Mayuka will be the last one set to join camp later at 19:15 hours. Read more…

Players Abroad: AC Oulu and TP Mazembe claw back for victories

Given Singuluma’s TP Mazembe of Congo made a strong statement in the 1st leg of the semi-finals. Travelling to Al-Hilal in Sudan, Mazembe were down early, but finished with an thrashing 5-2 victory.

In the other semi-final, an all Nigerian clash, Heartland defeated Kano Pillars 4-0 at home.

Andrew Sinkala faced off against his former team SC Paderborn, as FC Augsburg drew 2-2 on the road. Sinkala played the entire match at centre back.
