Clifford Mulenga came off the bench to score a goal and create one to inspire Bloemfoentin Celtic to a 4 – 2 win over Ajax Cape Town in the ABSA premiership.
Renowned for scoring spectacular goals, the Chipolopolo midfielder curled a spectacular free kick in the 81st minute into the top left corner of the Ajax goal keeper which could pass for a goal of the week. Two minutes later be broke loose on the left with a run into the 18 yard box before he beat his defender to lay the ball for Mongala who struck from close range.
Ajax had twice come from behind to draw level at 2 – 2, but 63rd minute substitute Mulenga turned the screw late in the match to ensure that Celtic collected maximum points as he scored his sixth goal of the season to move his club 41 points on the log.
Elsewhere in the ABSA premiership Free State Star beat Santo’s 0 – 1. Kennedy Mweene played 90 minutes while Noah Chivuta came in as a 69th minute substitute.
Golden Arrows were held 1 – 1 at home by Chintu Kampamba’s Bidvest Wits. Collins Mbesuma and Joseph Musonda did not even make the bench. Chintu was also missing for Wits after only playing 33 minutes in their last game.

Did not know Clifford had dead ball skills like that. That was a superb free kick that sent the goal keeper crushing into the goal post.
Looks like this season we will not see a Zambian kissing the PSL trophy.

Abena Chintu will be calling time on their international careers it seems. He hasn’t played enough games this year.
Clifford looked sharp yesterday, I hope he remains consistent.
Chivuta has shown longevity in the game, but he does not seem a big prospect for me with Chipolopolo. His generation can proudly retire (Chamanga, Chintu etc) with the 2012 AFCON gold medals around their necks, they have proudly served the nation.

Great free kick indeed…I think its time for Kalaba to be letting Guys like Clifford,Noah,Isaac, Collins,I have atleast seen these guys score good free kicks. @ Big Steve I thought Isaac was in good position to kiss the PSL with pirates?

…and thanks to Zamfoot for the Chisamba Lungu video, we have something to smile about!!. But please don’t post the Roger Kola video again, its not inspiring at all. For those who don’t mind going international, look out for a youtube video of Shikabala, the Zamalek Egyptian player, simply amazing!

Brilliant freekick but in agreement with Mabwanna this guy can be brilliant one day totally mediocre the next. He is an amazing player of that there is no doubt. All we need now is consistency.

Mbesuma got injured in Arrows last game against Moroka Swallows.
For sure that free kick by Clifford reminds me of Great Kalu in those days. It was a beauty and a real bender! We lacking a natural free kick taker in the National team at the moment.
