Zambia’s export to Vietnam Signs Chibambo was on target as he opened his league account in the Asian country.
The former Nakambala Leopards hitman who marked his debut Binh Dinh by scoring a hatrick in the Vietam FA Cup last month, a week after he signed a one year deal put Binh 1-0 up.
When all seemed like his team was headed for all maximum points Da Nang II equalised in injury time to earn a point. Binh Dinh is placed 11th on a 14 team log after two round of matches after they lost 2-0 in the opening league match last week.
Chibambo now has 4 goals from 3 matches in all competitions as he looks to use the second tier (Division I) as springboard for a Euro move next year.
In Israel, Rodger Kola shrugged of the heartbreak of being dropped from the African Cup of Nations as he led the line for this season’s surprise package.
After last week’s goalless draw with William Njobvu’s Ironi Kiryat Shmmone, in what was the first versus second, Sport Club Ashdod returned to winning ways with a stunning away 3-2 over Maccabi Petah Tikva.
Ashdod is still second with 39 points while Njobvu’s club is top of the log on 45 points.
