Power black out Parly, Zanaco bounce back

September 1, 2010

Power Dynamos showed their quality in defeating Assembly

Power Dynamos this afternoon walloped National Assembly 3-0 at Woodlands Stadium  while Champions Zanaco bounced back from the weekend’s disappointment of dropping points at home to Haras El Hadoud in the CAF Confederations Cup mini league  with a hard fought 1-0 victory over Choma Eagles.

Power brightened their chances of competing in continental football by breaking the ice through skipper Joseph Sitali before little known Chris ‘Waddle’ added the second. Lameck Mwale put the gloss on the comfortable win for the Kitwe giants.

Across town at Sunset Stadium, Zanaco put the Haras 1-1 draw behind them to subdue a stubborn Choma Eagles side via a Vernacious Mapande strike.

The game involving Zesco United and Kabwe Warriors could not be played as the Trade Fair outfit are missing more than a quintuple of players with the Chipolopolo Boys and the Under 20 which emerged victorious in the Jose Eduardo Dos Santo Invitational youth tournament in Angola.

`Well done power. hope You wont drop any points anymore.Prove yourself by beating Nchanga Rangers in Chingola. Now back to the story of the day,FAZ SHOULD find a way of featuring our players based abroad who are not regular players in our national team to showcase their skills for possible inclusion in the main team.Have something like charity games during off season like foreign based players vs midlands or copperbelt select teams comprising non national team players. We need to see players like chisamba, the yobes and others.

Congrats power you have made me start looking forward to the weekend and lets hope we stop droping points unnecessarily. I also agree with abena kitwe in gabs on the issue of players based abroad to be given an opportunity to show case their skills.Apart from playing the select side in terms of the local players they can also form a team that can play those players abroad who are regularly summoned for national duty.

The goal by Sitali was great. He really showed his briliance to score that one and the likes of Gattuso,Mudenda and Simon had to jump in the grandstand to celebrate. We are still missing an acurate goal poacher.I expected new signee Kameta Mutambo to be the answer but the responsibility seem to be too big for the guy.We have a good team but we need strikers
