Afrisports in troubled waters in division 2

Struggling Afrisports have disclosed that they can beat demotion from Division 2 north. Afrisports have won just two games this season in with nine draws from 15 matches and fourth from bottom in Division 2 after their demotion from Division 1 north at the end of last season.

Pivoty Simwanza dares Kalu

Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) executive committee member Pivoty Simwanza has dared the body’s president Kalusha Bwalya to execute the suspension as planned during a caucus on Sunday.

“I am an executive member and I am entitled to talk on these issues because to me, Mbola belongs to Pyunik Yerevan and why should someone be jittery if I talk about it?” he wondered.

“My argument is that it was wrong for Mining Rangers to take Mbola to TP before the matter at FIFA is resolved and I don’t owe anyone an apology.”

“If we are men and women in that executive, we must bring Mining Rangers to book because they are wrong, we should not be waiting for directives from one person. FAZ is not a company, its run by an executive committee.

“We don’t want to be bull-dozed. I can be suspended for a week, one month but I will use the available channels. Why are people jittery when I talk about Mbola? I am not scared and my conscience is very clear,” he added.
