Goals in each half from Charles Siyingwa and Winstone Kalenga gave Zanaco their first win in four games as the bankers beat National Assembly 2-1 at Sunset Stadium to move to nineth on the log.
Zanaco went into this fixture having just picked a point from a possible nine and were underpressure to collect maximum points. Skipper Siyingwa who was dropped to the bench last weekend when the CHAN Squad played South Africa put his side 1-0 up on the half hourmark with a powerful header.
Striker Makundika Sakala had a goal dissalowed before the break but his strike partner Winstone Kalengo scored his second goal in as many games to give the bankers a 2-0 caution.
With the fourth official standing up to show the 3 minutes added veteran striker and ex-Young Arrows striker Kruger Mwansa pulled one back to give the game a nerve ending but coach Wilson Mwale will lure out the chances his side created.
Zanaco will now face second placed Green Buffaloes on Saturday at Edwin Imboela Stadium before welcoming Bruce Mwape’s Nchanga Rangers at Sunset Stadium a week later.
The bankers complete their rescheduled games with another home tie against Forest Rangers on June 26 before the league resumes on July 3, 2010.

The ZPL as so far been interesting, competition is slowly getting back and though Zesco are yet to record a loss in the first half of the league I expect a tough race for the top slot in the second half.I predict the race to be between Zesco,GBFC,Power and Zanaco.Nkana and Rangers are playing good football and for me these 2 clubs can be suprise packages .My team Power is playing the best football this season but we are lacking a finisher and a huge centre back.If we can fill these spaces we can be back in continental football next season
