Zambia will play South Africa national Under-23 soccer team side in the second round of the African Nations Championship.
And giants Nigeria have been dumped out the competition exclusively for local players after they drew 0-0 with Niger in Kano who had a two goal advantage going into this fixture.

The South Africa’s developmental side comprising mostly of under-23 players beat Botswana 2-1 to book a date with Zambia.
The Amagluglu will host the local copper bullets on May 22 and travel to Lusaka on June 5 for the return leg at probably Nkoloma Stadium.

Fwayo Tembo's performance for Etoile du Sahel earned him the Player of the Game, as voted on by the clubs supporters for the match against JS Kairouan. Tembo scored in the 38th minute, in the 2-0 victory.

The FAZ Annual General Meeting at Mulungushi International conference has ended with the association President Kalusha Bwalya calling for unity in his closing remarks.
Meanwhile the FAZ General Secretary George Kasengele and Amakumbi Stars owner Simataa Simataa openly declared that they have forgiven each other and the petitions were not tabled.
Simataa’s suggestion that for another AGM to be called within 45 days was quashed off by councilors and with many calling for reconciliation and by the end of the day the latter was achieved.
In his speech Kalusha said that his executive will not hesitate to act on any erring member. The soccer icon also said the attacks on the association in the last few weeks have not helped lure sponsorship.
And FAZ treasurer Borniface Mwamelo announced that the football mother body has a surplus of ZMK3 billion in its reservoir. This was revealed the Mwamelo was giving the association’s financial report.
