Jackson Mwanza has started on the left for Zesco

CAF envoys Zesco United take on Green Buffaloes at Nkoloma Stadium in the final of the Samuel ‘Zoom’ Ndlovu Charity. Zesco is in their green jersey while Buffaloes are in white shirts and green shorts.

Both teams are being captained by former Internationals, Misheck Lungu for Buffaloes and Billy Mwanza is wearing the armband.

FAZ boss Kalusha Bwalya is in the stands watching the game.

Defender and former International Clive Hachilensa has sat out as he is serving a suspension. First choice Jacob Banda is also missing as he has a bout of malaria.

    In the PSL, Collins Mbesuma has started for Moroka Swallows against Jomo Cosmos. Cosmos need to win to avoid relagation.

    This is Mbesuma’s first start after the AFCON. Last week he came off the bench to score a thunderbolt in an Orange CAF Confederations Cup. That was his third for season; 3 goals in 13 games

    The league starts next weekend with Zanaco v Zesco Utd a top of the bill fixture.

    Zanaco beat URA 4-0 in a CAF game and will host ASEC Mimosa.

    Congratulations Buffaloes. Wishing you a successful season. As for ba Zesco, this is rather disappointing. I hope this is not a sign of things to come as you are a team with great potential. I hope you will do us proud in continental football.

    What’s the deal with the attire? Am I to understand they had a combination of two different brands at the same time? I would expect better from a team of Buffaloes’ stature!
