I knew it zanaco wont dissappoint, if this spirit become a drivng force thru it all then Zanaco is a goal beyond group stages i mean the quarter finals.

Fwayo and Mbesuma these are two dissappointing zambians especialy the later hope their begining is a wakeup call for a good change.

Plz help Mbola go to England by whtver means are available the boy is likely to be the first Zambian world defender of the year,nt ma jealous.

I agree with you.I think with team work and commitment Zanaco can beat ASEC and go to the next round

  • Matafwali wrote on 28 February, 2010, 17:31

Congratulations ba Zanaco!!! That should give you the start you need. Congratulations to Mbesuma and Tembo. Hopefully, this will help Mbesuma in the eyes of his coach. As for Fwayo, we know what he can do if he can get past whatever it is that he is rebelling against. Indeed, as someone has already pointed out, it’s like we are in dreamland to have all these events in the same weekend!

I doubt if that info is correct. How can that be possible with SA being involved in the Worldcup in June?

  • Man ceasor wrote on 28 February, 2010, 19:21

if it was same yrs back i would say zanaco wl lose bt Asce r nt da same team nmore.

  • Tm jics wrote on 28 February, 2010, 19:28

    @Logic
According to the fixture Botswana will battle it out with RSA in March 2010, and the winner between the two will face Zambia home and away in May and June 4-6, 2010. So it will be before Worldcup. I hope that clears your doubt.

  • Awe wrote on 1 March, 2010, 3:00

goodness this is really good news I must say. Nomba ba Nkana, I think they are doing an Ali tactic of rope-a-dope … make evryone think they are down and out then when the season starts it will really be on. Good job Zanaco, Fwayo, and Mbesuma so good to see Zambias prodigal sons looking like they will turn it around.

  • Bonaventure wrote on 1 March, 2010, 7:32

As cearly outlined South Africa will battle it against Botswana in a 2 legged match. Zambia will face the winner. FYI.: In the CHAN game South Africa features what they call a developmental side consisting of players that are on the fringes of Bafana Bafana and some youngsters. So it will in no way affect 2010 preps for South Africa.

Didn’t watch the game but everyone is talking about Mbesuma’s goal. Apparently it was a candidate goal for goal of the year.
E news reported yesterday that Mbola has signed for Totenham. This whole Mbola thing is getting more confusing. Good thing Zamfoot will clear it up for us.

Congrats to Zanaco, what a come back after two bad games in a space of a week. Now winning like this is a good showing of a winning mentality.

ba Gerald these are pre season games and we are still trying out players and combinations. You shall be surprised when the league starts

  • Man ceasor wrote on 1 March, 2010, 8:54

i believe nkana wl do better in da league dats if they r learnin samthin fro these defeats.

  • Mabbwana wrote on 1 March, 2010, 9:43

Yes, good to hear that Fwayo is playing again and scoring goals. I am happy for Mbesuma but I am still not sure he will get back there. I think he has had a lot chances to prove the critics wrong but he blows it some how, he is actually now being overtaken by the younger guys like Mayuka.

For Mbola, these guys should just be realistic as they sort out his contract problem and do what is best for the young man.

Above all thanks to Zanaco for the job well done. Lets move on and bring some pride back to Zed football.

mmmm awe chachilamo olo friendlies ama 5 zero yafula mwee, bakalampa why dont you just accept that things are not alright. Better do something about this before you are chopped back to where you came from. As for us we have come for keeps mweee!!!!!

  • Spaks wrote on 1 March, 2010, 9:57

Congrats to Zanaco we still have work to do but good improvement from the Zesco game, we would have won by a larger margin but none the less we are happy, good that Fwayo has come to his senses, i hope kalaba goes back as well. Mbesuma for me is now history, he will never be the same again so for now let him focus on his retirement package, as for Kalampa, i will say i was very sceptical about Kawilo being their coach, i mean he has been away for the longest and has not won a single match since his return Nkana need to rethink his recriutment otherwise their stay in the top flight will be short yet again

I saw Mbesuma’s goal it was so wonderfully executed and could surely qualify for goal of the year. Lets hope he keeps up the tempo and concentrates on his fitness sure he will get back to his former form

good fior zanaco but i think our players just need to work a little more and be disiplined imagine where fwayo and mbesuma would have been now.???? WE REALLY HAVE TALENT AND POTENTIAL but how it is used and the attitude of our players is somewhat not up to scratch.in the current conditions we are all able to perform with some well exposed and trained teams and players. i think the last week our players anroad did well. but sunzu mayuka should look at the big stage. hope the mbola issue gets sorted.

  • maliti b vincent wrote on 1 March, 2010, 14:03

can say much on fwayo tembo and mbesuma, i was out in mwinilunga with Bresmar fc of solwezi who had two pre-season friendy games with Fare Bullets fc featuring the cream of mwinilunga footballers and mwinilunga high school (the zambian coca cola cup champions). zamfoot would salivate for what amount of soccer talent and skill i saw. we beat the former 2-0 and drew with the school boys. what a match…!!! i enjoyed my weeked. mind you bresmer was number three on the table in division two north last season…

  • isaac malukutu wrote on 1 March, 2010, 14:49

Having watched the Zanaco match, am of the opinion that Allan Mukuka has not matured yet .The boy beat the entire defence with only the goal keeper to beat but the boy just shot straight to the goal keeper.Any where he had a good game .

Thats true observation. The Zambian players here in Botswana are setting the league on fire. Its important to note that Botswana football is improving in leaps and bounds as evident by the elimination of Orando Pirates by Gaborone United.Try to recall some of them for national duties.

who are the zambian players in Bostwana ,i only know of James Kachinga.

I watched the ZANACO game and think that they played well but could also use a more fluid game next time. I think that they were a number of uncomplete passing moves, poor defending at times and most of all did not take all the chances that came there way. I think we should improve on these things. Player of the match for me was Jersey 8 for ZANACO in mid.
