Flashback: Emmanuel Mbola (m) with Francis Kasonde (l) & William Njobvu (r)when the trio attended trials in Russia 12 months ago.
International left back Emmanuel Mbola is yet to sign put pen to paper, contrary to UK media reports that English Premier League side Tottenham Spurs has tabled a £1 million to Pyunik Yerevan of Armenia.
According the Zambianfootball.net sources in London,‘it is just paper talk’ although he didn’t rule out the interest from Spurs.
“He hasn’t signed any deal. It is just paper talk,” the source told the Zamfoot Crew in an exclusive interview.
Asked if Mbola will sign for Spurs the source hinted that there’s more work to be done behind the scenes for any deal to be completed, “There are about three English clubs interested in Emma (Mbola). One has already tabled an offer to Pyunik but it’s not Spurs.
Mbola flew into London on Saturday from Lusaka to start a 10 days trial at Spurs. The highly rated teenage full back has been tracked by top European side in the last five months after impressive displays for both club and country.

We know the Other Club is Westham of which i wud have loved Mbola to sign with coz he wud starting having gametime with them much earlier than at tottenham nevertheless am sure he can make it at Spurs.
so which is the other club?, Let it not be Pompey!!!!!!!!!
True, West Ham would be easier to get into. My concern is that they may get the chop and get relegated. Anyways, patience is key. Evaluate the offers carefully. The last thing he needs is to be sitting on the bench.
Good point Kash & Magic. It seems which ever way it goes, the lad is likely to sign in the EPL. Let the agents go ahead and do the background work properly and help the Emma get a good deal.
There is no smoke without fire goes an old adage. The word is out. Mbola will definitely sign for some English club. I was astonished by a Daily Mail.co.uk report where Harry Rednapp claimed he did not ‘know the presence of a boy from ANGOLA at White Hart Lane. I doubt Rednapp is the man for Mbola. This is the man who trashed Mbesuma at Pompey. This is the man who trashed Darren Bent when the now Sunderland striker missed a sitter last season and claimed ‘his wife (Rednapp’s) would have scored.’ This is a man who resigned Robbie Keane only to send him only at Celtic before the season closed! This is a man who is facing tax evasion charges in the UK courts!
It would be interesting to see how this development pans out. But whatever the case, Mbola is in London whether it is Spurs, Hammers or whatever club so long as it is in the English Premiership, Mbola will be a huge star not long from now.
Just need some help. How come the transfer window doesnt seem to apply in this case. All I know its closed.
chair, good observation on the tranfer window being closed and yet we are hearing of this deal for emma. But i should think there is a clause in his contract which says after one year he could be a free agent if a good or bigger club wants to get him. But we need to educate our players on these tranfers and contracts beacsue at times a contract could put an option to extend and then it doesnt state the figures invloved and how much the player gets. there is a zimbabwean who was supposed to go to portmouth but there is this tranfer row which has erupted and he is not playing …. so is joseph kamwendo the maawian starring for pirates. so we appeal to the agents to be clear. Latest is that kalaba is in zambia and he is not happy which the tax he has to pay from his salary in egypt. So he is inactive at the moement. Wiching mbola all the best. THE fact that spurs have quoted him , automatically raises his profile.
Birmingham have tabled an offer to Pyunik. They want him without trials but there’s a lot of ground work to be done.
West Ham want the boy to undergo trials. Spurs????? They are still interested but…alot of stuff going on behind the scenes.
If he doesn’t sign for an EPL side, CSKA Moskva is an option.
Fingers crossed.
im sure something is coming up not necesarrily from spurs . im confident. thanks zamfoot.
Znbc at 07hrs carried the same story monitored at suppersport.com
Since i want Mbola at spurs i believe the story he has signed a contract with spurs.
can some help kalaba to go back to his club and resolve the probles he has with the move to egypt.
He will be a huge star and impact 4 an team that signs him,i have no doubt about that.@Ba Muzo you are rite abt Harry Rednap the guy is insane he wantd 2 get rid of pavesko bt was proved wrong by putting in 2 goals unlike crouch who has gone 7 games without a goal,he got rid of Didier Zokora, strippd Ledly the captaincy.@zamfoot thanx 4 da updates
patince guys…patience! premirership ya mwikata umwaiche! ba muzo,ur rite bout redknapp.i hope zola singns mbola .he will have game time,no time..he will prove himself, then maybe be sold to a bigger club like man.u,arsenal e.t.c….as for now lads, lets tekanya, the future is brite!
His agents should just grab whatever deal is closest rather than stretch it out hoping for a better deal. If birmingham have tabled a no trials offer they should jump at it. Mbola has the particular playing skill that will see him make it in the EPL. Even if he plays for Birmingham for two seasons he will have increased his profile by that time to get a real money move and his agents wil still reap (considering that is obviously a big element for them). It is too early in his career for them to expect a big money move or some enormous deal. A bird in hand is better than two in the bush. If Rednapp and compay are builing too many hurdles then jump ship and sign for Birmingham.
Zambia: Herve Renard applies for the Tanzanian coaching job
Herve Renard
The Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) has revealed that Zambia National Team coach Herve Renard is among the many tacticians who have applied for the Tanzania job.
TFF’s General Secretary Fredrick Mwakalebela told Daily News Newspaper in Tanzania that t Renard was among high profile coaches who sent in their applications. Over 12 coaches have sent in their applications to replace Brazilian Marcio Maximo, whose contract expires in July.
Herve Renard impressed in the African Nations Cup in Angola by reaching the quarter-finals, but he is now seeking greener pastures.
In the wake of Maximo’s pending departure TFF has started the process of searching for his replacement and Mwakalebela said coaches from Venezuela, United Kingdom as well as other European countries have already submitted their application vying to take over from Maximo.
Reports also indicate that Cote D’Ivoire’s national soccer coach Vahid Haliihodzic who pitched camp with his team in the East African state ahead of the just ended Orange Caf Africa Nations Cup in Angola is also interested in taking charge of the Taifa Stars.
He will however be available after leading the Ivorians through their World Cup campaign this summer in South Africa.

HR is really taking us for a ride. We have very comfortably for him put the ball in his court. He is so arogantly sitting on his a_s sending out his C.V and saying to himself “well I will sign with these Zedians if everything else fails” and we are also just sitting waiting for that to happen before we take any action.
What i know is that a team can sign a pre-contract with a player. This means the have an agreement with him that come next season he will sign with them. As you know this season is about to finish in about 3 months. So Spurs, Birningham City or any team can have a contract with Mbola now but for next season.
The transfer window may be closed but Pyunik Yerevan can have an understading
(on paper) with any club they feel gives them a good deal for Mbola.
As I said earlier when this story initially popped up Newspapers in the united kingdom can say what the like we should just all wait until this is confirmed by which ever English Premiership Club .Personally I can only wish mbola the best of luck in all trails his undertaking
@nsomba
You were right Nsomba. We await the full conclusion to this matter !
That guy who looks like a rat,Rednap cant say he doent know the coountry where Mbola comes from when them fools are interested in the player. Its an insult to our country.
MAY BE REDNAP IS VERY IGNORANT ABOUT GEOGRAPHY HE DOES NOT KNOW WHERE ZAMBIA IS.IT IN SOUTHERN AFRICA IT IS ALSO THE LAND LOCKED COUNTRY.REDNAP ULEICHINDIKA KUTI MWAITA UMWACHE ATI TAWISHIBE EKOAFUMINE.GOD BLESS YOU MBOLA .HARDWORK AND DISPLINE YOU MAKE IT TO EPL.
If Mboal has other EPL clubs that want him then he should consider these clubs. On second thoughts I think Rednap can be a problem as he still thinks of Mbesuma whenever a Zambian player is mentioned. So maybe it might not be a good idea.
I think West Ham and Birmingham are decent clubs and if he does well he will be snatched by the big clubs. Rio Ferdinand was from West Ham.
Anyway let us wait and see how things will unfold
@Ba Muzo
You are right Harry Rednapp doesn’t play around when it comes to players..he is definately not one for discovering new talent or narturing, but he has a high success rate by sticking to what one would term as proven performers rather than new or fresh faces. Given Tothenhams bigger budget and ability to acquire such talent I don’t think Mbola would see any first team action for a very long time.
I think he should keep his options open. Spurs may sound good now, but when the coach is telling the press he doesn’t even know who you are…I would think twice.
so zamfoot no news yet of dis man who claims 2b 16yrs signin wt spurs. was da story fake or just a rumour?
I cant believe its fake but lets wait and see
Colleagues, i want to be educated a little bit about Kalaba’s move. Can a player be sold or loaned to another club without him being involved somhow. Because at some point we heard that Kalaba was not interested in going to Egypt, but then how was the whole deal done. What is the latest by the way.
kalaba is not happy with the tax he has to pay on his salary at the zamalek club so he is malingering about.
Let’s not forget that Mbola is just 16 years of age (17 in May this year), so getting playing time at any club in the bigger leagues is close to impossible. I’d prefer to see him going to a club like Ajax, where the youth structure is excellent, and 17-year-olds are going to be able to break into the first-team. The Eredivisie is not of a bad level, but more importantly with Ajax, Mbola would also be playing in European competition (Champions League, or at least Europa League) for most of the season. It is playing in the Champions/Europa League that will provide him with the most invaluable experience AND exposure at the highest level. I hope he makes the best decision for his career, and doesn’t just go to a team with a big name in the bigger leagues.
After all we have now heard that his current club made him sign contratc contray to FIFA regulations concerning under 18 players.(But if I am not mistaken I once heard his father was staying with him or was acting manager of some sort). The club Pyunik may be severly penalised for this.

Xifoin: one of your fantasies is also that you would a Dildo stuck were the sun don’t shine.
he is debil…… idiota……. in pyunik he could play so good, but now pyunik fucked away him, becouse he is idiota….
However their adventurous plan didn’t have a success as Pyunik made a contract with the under-age player according to the all requirements of FIFA. Tottenham could quickly sift a question to the bottom concerning the fact that Mbola has a legitamate agreement with Pyunik and quickly rejected that trick . Otherwise the “spurs” could have a great deal of trouble.
From the above quotation form the website sited by Felisio (above) it is very clear that Mbola made Pyunic to believe that he was above 18. There is no way a senior club may have signed a player who is under 18 as they know the grave consequences of doing that. It would appear there have been some double standards for Mbola, on one hand he is saying he is 16 on the other hand he has made pyunic to believe that he is above 18 and hence signing him as a profession. The good news for Mining Rangers FC is that they are entitled to training compensation as well as Solidarity Mechanism (please refer to FIFA’s Regulations on the status and transfer of players, articles 20 and 21) but only after Mbola has signed his first professional contract and this continues until the end of the season of his 23rd birthday.
I have a strong feeling that young mbola will be a big hit in th EPL, which ever team he signs for thats his decision along. But Rednap has no feelings and respect for players and Counties .how can he say mbola is from angola, i take that as i lack of respect for our country.Go zambia Go mbola

@zozo
Zozo, it appears you dont much about Europeans or let me say westerners. They dont know the world, especially Africa to most of them is an unknown quantity. It is not intentional that he mentioend angola. That is the reality my brother. To many americans africa is South Africa, and Zambia is probably in South Africa.
