Kabamba is leaving Zanaco?
KCM Premier League Champions Zanaco is believed to be on the verge of losing Congolese born hitman Patrick Kabamba according to reports reaching Zambianfootball.net.
The left footed diminutive striker who topped the goal scoring charts with an incredible 20 goals in 21 matches is understand to have signed a pre-contract with Orange/CAF Champions League winners T.P Mazembe but Zanaco wants to sell the player to Angola after it emerged that Kabamba has already discussed personal terms with the Lubambashi based club without the blessings of the bankers.
“Zanaco officials are upset that Kabamba acted that way. They were really counting on him for Champions League but getting reports that he has already discussed terms with TP Mazembe they have no option but to let him go.
“…it’s a bit of drama at the moment. Zanaco want to sell him to Angola and the player has a pre-contract with Mazembe,” a highly placed source told the Zamfoot Crew.
Zanaco bought Kabamba from Nkana early this year and initially on loan before it was turned permanently a few weeks ago.
Nkana fc Secretary General confirmed to Lusaka based Radio Phoenix earlier today, “We did complete the deal of Kabamba but Allan Mukuka is still on loan.”
Now with the bankers trying to consolidate its squad ahead of next year’s Champions League preliminary game against Uganda Revenue Authority, URA, should the 20 goal getter leave Sunset Stadium, it will be a major blow for the Wedson Nyirenda coached side.
Allan Mukuka is still a Nkana player. The highly rated winger has been of the revealation of the season
Kabamba arrived in the country in 2006 from Mazembe’s arch-rivals Lumpopo fc and trekked to Kitwe were he joined the Buchi Boys. After failing to flourish at Kitwe United, he joined Nkana were his 15 goals in the 2007 season propelled the Wusakile Boys back to the top flight.
Mid this year, Herve Renard expressed a wish to have the striker in his Chipolopolo set up but unfortunately the Congolese born failed in his attempt to acquire citizenship through naturalization.
Trade him for Singuluma. Either that or Zanaco should get Chola.
No worries just kachepa, Zanaco have signed judge mkandawire and venicious mphande from Chambeshi to beef up their squad, they have also signed trinity Chalanshi who i must say is a great midfielder,
I hope the CAF outing for ZANACO does not turn into a tourism venture. The bankers need to put in so much if they are to achieve better than ZESCO. Losing kabamba is a big loss. Any way will rally behind them. Be sensational.!
If this is true, Zanaco will be significantly weakened in attack. Imagine Kabamba did not play many games but managed to score 20 goals, almost half of all zanaco goals. Zanaco have to quickly shop for quality strikers not the 17 year old Jimmy Ndhlovu from Red Arrows. They have to look around in the region.
News from Malawi show that Simukonda and Mtine of ZESCO came here to look for players and have identified Elvis Kafoteka a gifted defender who plays for ESCOM united here. Think this is strategy to beef up squad for 2010. Apparently ESCOM are defending champions of the local premier league.
roumor has it that zanaco are also qouting some congolese players about 3 and one under 20 malawian player.
sad dat zanaco r losin kabamba. if kabamba is stil injured let him just stay wt zanaco.
Zanaco and Zesco have money, they are the best sponsored sides in Zambia, they will find Players who are dedicated
Not very good news this. Zanaco should be consolidating their team now and not losing players. A little surprise for me is that this report also suggests that Zanaco want to sell the player to Angola…
Why even contemplating selling him? They should be trying to outbid other clubs in keeping their most prized asset.
They do well in the CAF champions league with him, then he would even fetch mo on the market while on the other hand the club would have benefited from his services if they go as far as Zesco did. It would have been double profitfor them.
I also think Kennedy Chola would be a good inclusion in the team.
Ba zanaco it will be sad if they lose PK but am sure its far from the end of the road for the bankers-they should just thank him for the services he rendered to the club and move on with preps for the champions league,if it is true he really wants to go_they should let him go cos if they hold him against his will they may just have his shadow in crucial games. They can look around nd get some good players.
If he has a pre-contract with TP, it means his contract with zanaco was about to end. Zanaco should have known better and offered him an extension much earlier. The report seems to suggest that they wanted to sell him anyway
y bn surprised nw?is dis da 1st time a congolese player has disappointed u?Is it a secret that Cogolese players come to Zed just for passage to better clubs? Never trust Congolese footballers and even Congolese gospel musicians…They owaz have ulterior motives…
George Chilufya, Macha and jimmy njovu all heading to Zanaco
TP Mazembe, they have the money and are always willing to develop their club.Good luck to its managers.I hop our local clubs also learn something,If you want to keep a good player at your camp you simply give him big money. If Ronaldo was given big money @ Man U,he would not have gone to Madrid.Zanaco can still find talent in Malawi,at least the players there are still poor even if they have talent. As for Singuluma, they cant get him back unless when he is finished,he will accept little money-As for now he is also gotten used to US$dollars not Zambian Kwacha.Nway my pont is “Clubs should learn to invest in good players”.
If kabamba is going ,then who will be scoring goals for zanaco, cause i don`t see any pray at zanaco who is good at scoring than kabamba. If zanaco is not careful they will be out of the competion in the fist round. Good lucky ba zanaco we are behind you guys
why can’t we use this player for the AFCOM? the young lad is more than willing to play for chipolopolo boys…ba kalu do something!
