DaMwiinger on Wed, 9th Dec 2009 4:26 PM
@The Doctor
Agreed on Kalu. I don’t see Charlie’s son wasting his efforts to play for Zambia-not with the currecnt circus of administartion and government.
Zamfoot, what coaching pedigree does “mwana wa nkwitu” have?
Monk P on Wed, 9th Dec 2009 4:34 PM
What are the chances of Sinkala and Chansa making the team?
These guys are need now more than ever, considering also that Kalaba will not play the first game and we need midfielders who are experienced. Who can defend and attack. Hope Renard swallows his pride calls them back, otherwise his losing streak will continue as a coach..

Good pics ba zamfoot,good to see the great kalu when he a man every zambian was proud of unlike this hard slapping of a greedy kalu we have today.Gentlemen i stumbled upon a book about zambian sports which was written by Moses Walubita,it talks about the performance of the national team on the regional and continental scene during the first 20yrs of zambias independence.the book is so enlightening and i think we need more such books and personally i want to write a book about zambia’s preps and performance on the road to Brazil 2014 provided the good Lord gives me breath.let us start to put matters about soccer in writting for our children’s children and their children.
Spaks on Wed, 9th Dec 2009 4:41 PM
So Ba Richie why not give us an excerpt everyday or week so we also learn?

Just looked at TP Mazembe’s squad list for the world club champiomships and naturally Given Singuluma is not on the list. The question is WHAT IN THE WORLD WAS SO IMPORTANT THAT HE HAD TO BE IN ZAMBIA WHEN HIS TEAM WAS TRAINING IN Zimbabwe??? To miss out on a world event which is a once in a lifetime opportunity is just plain insanity. What are these young men doing/thinking?? I have always said it, if you lack that mental fortitude and vision ur Physical skills will only take u so far. The immaturity displayed by some of these young men is dissapointing. Once again before i get attacked according to the press hes was in zambia while his team was training in Zim(i think) and once the press found him out he rushed back to his team. Now obviously if had permission to be AWOL, all would have been well and would be in the squad. But he is not, so either he is not good enough to be in the squad or he really was AWOL.
Just food for thought……
Spaks on Wed, 9th Dec 2009 5:04 PM
KK he is awol, he would have been the first zambian playing in the World Club Championships, its sad but that is the attitude of most of our so called stars, i wish i could do something about their attitudes, not to disrespect any of them i think education is important, look at Jacob Mulenga, he may not be a natural talent but he is focused and will achieve more than almost all of his u 20 team mates, difference isukulu

@Chamz
chamz am glad u dnt nid sinkala and chansa but us zambians we need all the players you have mentioned.Training and friendly games should determine whch players to go with to Afcon.We nid a big pool of players to select frm the final squard.
Dnt thnk zamfut is too dull to cover their tracks,u guys av said dirt about kalu,zamfut gat to prep better defence incase thngs go legal action.

@Monk P
Mudala it would have been nice to have the option of selecting Sinkala and Chansa, but it is not upto HR to swallow his pride.. it is up to these two individuals to appologize and adjust their attitude for the betterment of team spirit. HRs hands are tied on the matter, you can’t call in players who said bad things about you as a coach it would simply hurt morale, at least they have to come forward by themselves and have them swallow their pride.
Positive thinking ..aka Awe on Wed, 9th Dec 2009 9:23 PM
By the way nice pictures ba Zamfoot. I like the Kalu pics… that young musonda boy looks like his father, hope he plays like him too. I remember back in the day when Charles Musonda was considered one of the best ball distributors in the game… some pundits even compared his abilities to those of Michel Platini. Ba Lucky Msiska I remember him coming on as a sub against Italy when we beat them 4-0 ninshi ama dread were flowing in the air.. elyo baisa ba pela pass ku left wing then he took the ball down the wing feinting and weaving but his shot/cross ended up over the bar…. please lembeni ama booku naifwa tuka le shimikila abana. Like ba Justice and them have to shimika from memory, ifwe we can have the benefit of videos or even books…. I wish someone would do a documentary on the fallen heroes. All I saw was that BBC documentary and quite frankly it didn’t do justice. It should be a two part documentary… starting with the generation of players that dided in the plane crash and then the story of Zambian football after the crash. I think it would be a trully great story. Abena America nga bali panga na film .. starring Denzel as Ucar (yaba I stil get sad when I think about it mwe ..)
Positive thinking ..aka Awe on Wed, 9th Dec 2009 9:26 PM
yaba did I type dided instead of died… also I meant Naifwe tuka le shimikila abana…. spelling is so hard these days. I assure you, my spoken English is much better.

Lets blame Given Singuluma’s lack of determination and discipline on the coach. That’s what people on this blog do, point fingers and offer no solutions at all. Reminds me of the republican party in the US, always attacking obama yet they forget that if Obama fails then the country fails.
Gametime12 on Thu, 10th Dec 2009 12:27 AM
Actually We are in the same situation as the U.S renard inherited this disease infested job that is full of people that want to do a half ass job and expect results.
Bolla Pansi on Thu, 10th Dec 2009 5:30 AM
Chansa,Jonas,Clifford and Sinkala are gud examples of indiscipline.
Thats why most pipo hate Kalu and HR.These two guys agree strongly on discipline.
Infact,it will be one of the reasons for a player to make the Afcon list.
Look at that U-20 Emmanuel boy from Nigeria.Mentored by Paster TB Joshua.U can honestly hope for gud things for Nigeria.

Way off line with your comments on Zamfoot these days Chamz? By the way if Zamfoot did give us this fora you and I are may hve not known each other to start with. 9I mean its good to intweract with you). And secondly most of the stories that we get on Zamfoott most of you outside the country would not have known about them. Now you are taking issues with the pictures. What fences is Zamfoot trying to mend Chamz? You are the journalist enlighten us!
Big Steve from SA on Thu, 10th Dec 2009 8:05 AM
Ok since others have got the ball roling on nameing players for Afcon, might as well join the club.
I was stuck on the fence when I heard about Sinkala and HR, but when I heard how he actually was so rude to the coach that other senior players started to side with the coach I begun to think hat he may have shot overboard, nonetheless I still think we need him at Afcon. Rather discipline him than kick him out altogether, we do need his services. Mbesuma is still failing to make an impact in the PSL so I wonder how some people are expecting him to make an impact at Afcon. I’m at cross roads if he will ever come back. The billionaire owner of Moroka swallows will start hunting for players most probably from germany in January so Mbesuma better pull up his socks quickly. Clifford is in the team so I’m wondering what some people are talking about. Jonas now understands the big stage and big stage experience is vital for Afcon otherwise you have the star struck drama we had aganist Cameroon in the last Afcon. I love the photos Zamfoot but I am not the biggest fan of shorty, so to see him in the pictures kind of like took something away but thats just me.

The chap was my junior at Nkana Trust school and i tell you he is a natural sports man.he played all sports very well from Swimming,Volleyball,to sprinting and High Jump.He was also great at moto cross. I remember whilst he was at Lechwe he played competitive basketball as well. Like SPAKS has indicated i think school has a role to play becoz i think it helps in instilling some discipline in a person. Does anyone Know where Yoram Mwila is. I last heard is in the states on scholarship
Asilikale on Thu, 10th Dec 2009 9:03 AM
Lol here’s someone whose just learning human rights but have lost zambian love.Lol man u heard it,the Father who parent them is raising them the Zambian way.Tell that to yo kids ahahahahahah.

May i know whether this Kennedy Chola,whom HR is likely to include in the prov.squard is the old Kennedy who played for Mighty,Nkana and Kabwe Warriors at some time?
Spaks on Thu, 10th Dec 2009 10:15 AM
Tino im there next week mwana
Big Steve from SA on Thu, 10th Dec 2009 11:35 AM
Chamz, compare oranges with oranges. Chola is a striker and both Sinkala and Chansa are not. I really dont understand how you underate what they can give to the National team. Sinks has played at the highest level and has developed himself into one of the most recognisable Zambian players, Chansa even before going to Europe was a major star in the PSL were coaches used to plan games around his skills. Chola is good but is not even better than Felix Sunzu who sorry to say is not worth taking to Afcon as well. Chola ran and ran but he was not even close to man of the match in the game aganist Zanzibar and if you think he can cause the micheal essiens any havoc you are riding a dead horse. Be realistic my man how do you even start to compare players on the world class stage to a local boy who is not even such a significant star on the zambian stage. He is good no doubt but this praise is praising a person over and above what he really is.
Kalambo on Thu, 10th Dec 2009 2:28 PM
Yes it matters to have big stage footballers. Locals that have proved their worth are also very helpful.
Thanks HR for revealing KC, EM and AM.

Good pictures baZamfoot,very intertaining,please continue posting more,they relieve our stress.The questionable picture is that of Chiluba and the Nigerian Stars,i dont really understand FTJ but I think he should confess to Zambians before he dies that he is the one who destroyed Zambian Football.He brought in alot of confussion,selling ZCCM unreasonably thereby causing Teams like Might,Kalampa,Lifebouy Strikers etc..etc to become orphans.I think,we surely deserve an apology from FTJ,he messed up everything,he divided the Nation by forming sprinter unions in Teacher Unions,Mines and everywhere,people could not speak with one voice.Its unfortunate that he stands in TB Joshua’s Church pretending to be Holy with the U-17 Players,nonsense!.
As for Lucky Msiska and Lamisha coming here,i wish them well but Im afraid,they should prepare themselves for critisism.They should try to learn something from Kalu from when he was a player to this time.When Kalu was a player,he used to get bad treatment from FAZ at Anchor House(thats where the animousity between Kalu & Simaata started from,when the later was FAZ Chairman),then,when the KK11 was murdered in Gabon,he gathered up Courage and the led the Team and fought a battle for Zambia.When he was victimised by Ted Mulonga and Ziese in 1998 Afcon(Striped of the Captains armband),he courageously took to the field and fought a battle for Zambia.Infact,I want to credit Mulonga and Ziese for the way they unceremoniously hounded off Johnston Bwalya from the Team,that Guy was very commited to the Zambian game(though we forget him easily).Players like Johnston,Kalu,Davis Phiri,Tenant,Chongo,Litana,Mordon & Kenneth Malitoli,Denis Lota,Andrew Tembo,Mwape Miti etc…needed a good farewell match organised by FAZ so that we can say goodbye and wish them well in society.When are we going to start honouring our stars?
