Good fortune: Mudenda may bow for a CECAFA medal as has travelled with the Chipolopolo
In a dramatic twist of events, Power Dyanamos ace Kennedy Mudenda was this morning redrafted into the Chipolopolo squad and has flown with the team to Kenya for the CECAFA tournament.

The Zambia 2008 best player suffered the ignominy of being dropped at the last minute yesterday when the travelling party for  the regional tournament was selected just as the case was with the COSAFA in Zimbabwe.

But with Zanaco players, exciting winger Allan Mukuka and goalkeeper  Joshua Titima pulling out of the squad because of the KCM/FAZ league leaders decisive match on Sunday, there is now room for Mudenda and Green Buffaloes goalie Davy Kaumbwa.

Zanaco defender and stand in captain Charles Siyingwa who made his  Zambia debut against  North Korea last Saturday has also been left behind but he will join the team in Kenya after Zanaco’s must win league match against Kabwe Warriors at Railways Ground.

The move to withdraw the 3 Zanaco  players  Zambianfootball.net understands is to ensure that the league concludes this weekend.

The other Zanaco players in the squad Henry Banda and impressive rookie defender Thomas Nyirenda left with the Chipolopolo.

Comedy of Errors, its all circus pa Zed, it was so evident that some players from Zanaco, Buffaloes, Zesco & Power wud pull out coz of the decisive games that Zanaco & Zesco have on sunday, HR shud have included Mudenda from the onset coz he wouldn’t have featured in the Cup Final match on Saturday coz his suspended, this would have been the time to also try the Yobe Brothers nomba ya, katwishi with abena Mulonga ku ministry of sports another Bobo dialaso is on its way in Angola.

The coach should be serious with his job he is the one who is going to finnish this boy Mudenda i can tell you guys HR has destroyed this boy mentally he is going to lose confidence in himself coze he thinks he is not good and does not impress HR I remember when HR was asked about Mudenda when the came from CHAN the man said Ken has matured to be in the main team and does not need to prove to me that he is good, he is the best local player in zambia at the moment and is knocking hard on the door of the main team so its so suprising that he continues to frastrate this boy. to day he calls him to camp puts him in the starting line up, drops him when the team leaves to cosafa, calls him again to the korea game puts him in starting line up drops him when he announces the final team 3 hrs later he includs him again what is this he has finnished the players confidence and thats not the way you treat a player

HR realising his squad was being pulled apart had to redraft these guys… But the good news is all of Zambia want to see Mudenda in the squad… I don’t know what HR’s problem is. Mudenda even played for you at CHAN? He came off the bench and worked wonders, the perfect player to complement an S Sunzu or an Njobovu… Sometimes just simple comunication will do, not always “mind game”!!!

what’s wrong fellow blogers, let’s rejoice that the boy has finally been redrafted into the team and stop complaining of his earlier exclusion. The coach has heard your cry coz he is a listening coach (he visits this site for yor own info) and he has drafted the boy in the team, but surprisingly you are agian crying what’s the matter let’s cheer up and desist from this habit (Chimsango) of always crying, blaming and finger pointing.

    Chamz :what is bobo dialaso?

Bobo-Dioulasso the second biggest city in Burkina Faso, Africa, after Ouagadougo, this is where the Zambian Squad under Bukhard Ziese was Humiliated and embarassed like no man’s business.

Zambia was in the same group with Morocco Egypt and Mozambique. We drew 0-0 with Morocco and Egypt wired us 4-0 and we beat Mozambique 2-0.

You will find the replica jerseys in Solly Pandor’s shop on Cairo Road, forgotten its name, but right across from Bank of Zambia. I have to warn you though that two washes and everything will fall off!! I bought a couple before, including one for a Scottish friend-how embarassing it was when the Z fell off his jersey after he washed it!!!!
And those are the jerseys the national team actually use!!!!!!

This is another example of the disorganisation at FAZ. I mean didn’t they and their coach know that the league should end this weekend and hence clubs would not release their players? They did the same with the inclusion of Clifford and Colins in the squad for the Korea game.

How people can look at this and accept it is really beyond me!!!

this confusion beats.this coach does not know what he is doing. we as a nation don’t even know what our mission at Cecafa is. What are trying to achieve? Am sure Faz the Coach and our poor players don’t have an idea. What a shame

    Bonaventure :
Solly’s shop is called Red Rose boutique. Those are not the same as the one the teams use. I have some which I got from FAZ and the quality is different. He is the one who does the printing of logos. So you know what to expect.

Ba Bona its called Axis Center, and as for the replicas, they are definitely not the same as the jersey the team uses, in my understanding replicas should fit the exact specification of the original, and hence they should come embroidered and not printed from Nike, this does not seem to be the case

I bought a white Jersey written Zambia at the back a couple of years ago from Axis Centre though it had no Faz logo on it. My brother and his friend bought some and had the logos done privately and the guys that did the logos did a good job. "No wash off and wear" .

This issue of President Banda appointing friends is not good for our game because there will be problems with FAZ,since Kalu and Mulonga are not in good books. He should have waited till after the Afcon.Otherwise another Bobo Dialasou.

Point of Correction we drew 1-1 with Morocco courtesy of Tenant Chilumba Goal and lost to Egypt 4-0 before humiliating Mozambique 3-1.

Club versus National interest. This contrast may prove difficult in the long run.It needs to be handled professionally, not where it raises eyebrows unnecessarily.HR,be prfessional pliz.

Consistency is what Renard is looking at and thats what everyone who is Professional is supposed to do.To me,Mudenda has lost form and in these times, you cannot play names coz thats calling for a disaster.Yes,he was Zambians Best Player last year but how about this year?.Has he ticked?.So,I think Renard is doing a Professional job, even if it means leaving your considered Best player. One might ask,why Stophira, its because the position where Stophira plays, its not as competetive as the left wing where Mudenda,Allan Mukuka,Jonas, felix,Fwayo and Cliff can do play. So,lets be objective in critising this Renard Guy coz we might cry for him when he leaves us.I see alot of sense in his Player selection,he likes young players, and thats we should all think of instead of thinking about Milanzi and Sichone who are very Old.

You guys have made me injure my stomach through laughing!

BaSpaks, even our ‘official’ kits finish after two washes. There is that picture of Mayuka and another player at the last AFCON (after the Sudan game) with a top where the badge had no colour left on it! I’m sure you guys know the one. BaZamfoot, perhaps you can help me by posting it.

I also find the name Bobo Dialaso very funny for some reason??

  26. gb on Sat, 28th Nov 2009 4:04 PM

we are not serious, you people in the diaspora what are you doing about it? Can’t you (we) pool resources and help your team instead of mocking the team.

HR is doing his best I think..he has been very busy..with Chan, Cecafa, world cu qualifiers and cosafa all on the trot…i think the problem is the administrative capacity of FAZ…they need to polish up…with mulonga now in to check on faz progress, it is a good start for sport in zambia in general.

  28. JC on Sat, 28th Nov 2009 9:14 PM

Renard is not the coach we should count on for any honours. has anyone bothered to chk his cv? serious people take serious measures, bena kalu baleteya ichimpombwa pa faz togetha with hs team ya bena macha! pray for miracles at afcon and individual briliance nt with renard as head.

  29. kiza on Thu, 3rd Dec 2009 9:54 AM

Am pleased to hear that Zambia beat Ethiopia yesterday. Its more pleasing to see goals coming now but what i think is of chief importance is for HR not to close the door to others pros like Andrew coz the AFCON is extremly different from this CECAFA.

How i wish these goals which are coming now were done during the qualifing journey of the World Cup/AfCON.We could be talking of Angola & South Africa now.Anyway thats water under the bridge here we come Angola.
