okay thats good news for the zambian football family , i just hope that we can have more cups, but the league also and the players have to be enterprising so as to attract the attention of these big firms. Im sure they have the notion that its better to sponsor golf, rally etc. but i think if we can have the BP. MOSI cup it can bring alot of that excitement back to the game. i hope that we improve in 2010. i think l;ets pump in more concentration in the league and youth, infrastructure and coaching, then the national team will be of top quality but if we want top start from the top then it will be the same old song....of losing. i mean how can a company like zamtel fail to sponsor a team while an individual like hanif can single handedly do it. then they must be thinking "ah what are we getting out of this"? but i think we dont need to sit and cry for sponsors lets also have initiative then people find it easy to com on board... they wont just dish out money just like that..... but a small part of me still feels these companies CAN do somthing to salvage our game.

South Korea identified Zambia as better than Malawi....i really doubt Zambia is better than Malawi or Mozambique at the present rate. These two teams have shown their stuff in The Qualifiers....Malawi leading Ivory Coast until the late second half...1-1, they beat Guinea (one of africas stronger sides), Mozambique got robbed against Nigeria, otherwise they should have won at least 1-0 at home,,,,,in all these are teams that have played good opposition and have at least accounted well for themselves...this is why they are now ahead of Zambia on Fifa's latest ranking.

Hey pipo whats happening there look South African coach Santana has resigned on his own whats happening to HR, Zambia's drop on FIFA rankings by 15 places is a big dent on his coaching career, imagin minors in futbal like Malawi is now ahead of Chipolopolo, God forbid. This has never happened in Zambian futball history someone is not doing his work, some of us do not even feel proud to walk the streets of Blantyre in Malawi and get identified with Chipolopolo. Sack the coach right now and re-engage Phiri as coach and you will see things turning round, these azungus are just there to chew easy money. Rwanda is coming soon and with all those dampened spirits Zambia can even fail to qualify qualify, what a mistake and thats when pipo will realise that HR is a useless coach. Act now you pipo all along i thought Zambians do not take nonsense but putting up with HR is the most unsensible thing that has happened there act now before things get out of hand, pliz pliz pliz pliz

We quickly need to invest in atleast two FIFA registered Agents or scouts. This will help in the marketing of our players. At the moment, what speaks for our players is only their talent. Our west african brothers beat us on this score. When they come to national team selection, they end up having so many of European based players to pick from. Unless we have the right numbers being exposed in the right leagues in Europe, we should forget about competing at the highest level.

This is a positive development,it seems Zambian Breweries is doing a wonderful job.But this alone is not enough coz,I believe the Billions of Kwachas that are allocated to the Ministry Of Youth-Sports and Ministries of Education is the main issue in developing of soccer.Right now,FAZ only runs the Football League and the Nation Team but our league doest have depth therefore we need to go back to the Grassroots which are our schools. If FAZ can be given a budget like the Ministry of Sport,I think they can easily run the Primary and Secondary School Leagues nicely and we can see wonders. My plee goes to the Government, the Politicians,to look with interests into our youths of today coz they only know how to drink beer and dance to musik(R&B).
