Defender cum midfielder Francis Kasonde who recently clinched an 8 months deal with Al Suwaiq of Oman and Israeli duo of Maccabi Tev Aviv striker Emmanuel Mayuka and William Njobvu of Hapoel Kiryat Shmonne are the other players.
Chipolopolo Boys team manager Solly Pandor confirmed the quartet’s arrival to Zambianfootball.net in an interview.
“Right now I am going to the airport (Ndola) to pick them,” Pandor said
Mbesuma’s arrival is a big boast to underfire coach Herve Renard who has publically stated that the former Kaizer Chiefs ace is the most efficient striker he has in the box.
The 25 year old was dropped from Zambia’s double header against Algeria after missing a penalty in the 1-0 win over Rwanda and will be looking to ressurect his international career.
While Noah Chivuta, Kennedy Mweene, Joseph Musonda, Amazulu duo of Kalililo Kakonje and Kampamba Chintu all arrived earlier on Monday mid-day eyebrows were starting to be raised on why the burly striker was not on the same flight with his South African based colleagues and…thank God Ntonfo-ntonfo has finally arrived.
Meanwhile Five South African plus six locally based players took part in the first training session in Kitwe earlier today as Herve Renard began planning on how to gun down the African Champions.
Meanwhile the Pharaohs’ will be jetting into the country on Wednesday via a charted plane and fly direct to Ndola.
Egypt have won 7 games in the qualifiers drawn 1 and lost 2 including a 3-1 away bashing by Algeria. Influential midfielder Mohammad Aboutrika is the leading scorer with 5 goals from the 19 scored and they goalkeeper Hossam El Hadary has only conceded 6 goals.
Egypt and Zambia have meant 16 times in all competitions at senior level with the Pharaohs’ emerging victorious on 9 occasions compared to Zambia’s 3 wins. The two countries have drawn 4 times. Egypt has found the back of the net 28 times while the Chipolopolo have hit 16 goals past an Egyptian goalkeeper.
Given Singuluma has also arrived from Congo.

With Felix suspended, maybe he should be in camp anyway. One thing I hope to see from our front man, whoever that maybe si a little more movement on the wings. Jacob has tendancy to stay in the centre and wait for balls to be booted up to him. Maybe he should make runs on the flanks as well, so the full backs can provide him some service. This will also allow the player in the hole to make the run for goal. We need to get at least a point on saturday (3 points would be better), but I have to be realistic. Our home form has been rather shaky. A draw will at least gaurantee us, or still leave us in a relatively comfortable position come sunday. There’s too much pressure mwe. Zambians please go to Chillies and support, no keeping quiet, naifwe tula sakamana butti don’t stop uku lumba. Take ngoma, take ama replica jersey nama scarf, just don’t stop singing napapata. Naifwe we will be singing with you from afar.

What I want is for flipping brutes (for what they did to our players in Cairo) to be beaten on the pitch. Let’s not show them any sportsmanship lest they contaminate us with their primitivity.
I just want Algeria to go to the World Cup and not these Egyptians who are savages and primitive scambags

Moroka Swallows and their striker Collins Mbesuma will appear before the PSL’s DC to answer to charges of misconduct relating to assault and unsportsmanlike behavior.
This follows an incident that took place during the match between Swallows and Bidvest Wits at the Dobsonville Stadium on September 23.
The PSL confirms the charge sheet. “Mbesuma behaved in an unsportsmanlike manner when he violently kicked Francis Chansa in his face while he was still on the ground after having cleared the ball.
“In so doing, it was evident that he had absolutely no intention to play or reach for ball in the play, as this incident took place while the ball was not within playing distance, thus contravening the PSL’s code of conduct,” the PSL says in a statement.
The hearing will take place on October 13 at 17h30 at the PSL offices.

Lets go Zambia, lets go! Nobody gave us any chance of coming out with anything from Cairo, but alas we managed to get a point out of the Pharaos. So even now where everyone has written us off, lets do wonders and beat the Eqyptians. Am keeping my fingers crossed and hoping for the best. Go Zambia, Go!! YES WE CAN!!
Zed#1 on Tue, 6th Oct 2009 8:42 AM
I wonder what the charges on mbesuma will be and how they will impact on the diminishing players prowess. He should learn to act better for a player of his level. Hope he bullies his way to a win on saturday. then we will forgive him.
Big Steve from SA on Tue, 6th Oct 2009 9:16 AM
Nothing really comes out of those hearings and thats why the discipline in the PSL has never improved. I can bet my little finger that he will be fined and the bulk of the money suspended for a year or so and he will be ordered to take anger management classes. I should say I was surprised at this behaviour from Mbesuma, had it been Isaac, Kombe or even Clifford I would say it is not that ar fetched for them but for Mbesuma, he has never shown aggression on the field of play.

Pray Zambia wins this saturday because this game is very important. Its also good to note that the players are arriving in the country.Hope the remaining guys will also in the country tomorrow.
Bonaventure on Tue, 6th Oct 2009 10:03 AM
In this game the coach acn afford to sleep because ALL players know the importance of winning. All that is needed is to counsel them on how to handle the ipmending pressure. They need to stay focussed and be mindful of conuter attcks. I hope Renard will not play the 4-5-1 formation we used in egypt because this is a home game. we need an open attcking game. The Pharaohs will sit back and catch us on the counter. We must be wary of Emmanuel “Roberto Carlos’ Mbola and Joseph ‘Muzo’ Musonda’s oevrlaps. We need to have extra men to fill the voids once they go up. Otherwise those are the loopholes we may fall prey to.
GO ZAMBIA GO!!!!! FAITH.

to Uncle Bobs: Thank you very much, a lot of people even Zambians themselves do not know how savages Egyptians are. They treated zambians like sh*t in Cairo. They are arrogant, they believe they are superior to all African nations.

I agree with you my bro, against all odds,we managed to get a point in Egypt & that give Egypt a tip of what we are capable of doing,we took them on,punch 4 punch in full view of their abusive fans & now we will be in Chilis,we are in the driving seat, our chances of a win are good, surely the bullets we are gathering are capable of gunning down the pharoahs cos the Zambian spirit is more alive & alert than ever.
Those that are writing us off are doing so at their own peril.

To HR – if indeed you want Mbesuma to show us what he is made of, plz play him a 4-3-3 with Chris upfront or a 4-4-2 with speed wingers(in miss Cliford).

I like Herve Renard especially with his work ethics and that physically our team can now fight it out with any team. Thanks to the use of modern training technics that the coach and his buddy has brought.I hope Lwandamina is seeing all this.
But my point is that should we fail to qualify to the Africa cup, Herve renard should be fired instantly.Simply because qualifying to CAN has never been a problem in the past.We have done it with local coaches.
On the other hand, if we qualify, the coach should be allowed to lead the team through the tournament.Depending with his performance he can also be allowed to qualify Zambia to the 2012 Africa cup and later on the 2014 world cup in Brazil.
Howwever, his biggest obstacle is his own mouth.

If we play like we played against Rwanda and Algeria Egypt will put 3 past us and that will dent our hopes of qualifying to the Africa cup. Any team that has quick attackers and plays good counter attacking football can score against Zambia. Rwanda would have scored 2 or 3 goals + they should have a penalty and Algeria put 2 past Mweene.
