International striker Given ‘Freedom’ Singuluma opened his goal scoring account in the Democratic Republic of Congo Super League on Tuesday afternoon after he helped T.P Mazembe to a 6-0 win over Vite fc. Click here to watch the Al Hilal v Zesco United match tomorrow

The 23 year old goal poacher scored a brace in the 51 minutes and got his second of the day 11 minutes later.

Singuluma who topped the goal scoring chart at the CHAN 2009 tournament with five goals earlier this year has so far played four games for the Lubumbashi based glamour side.

He made his debut on his birthday July 19, in the 2-0 win of Heartland fc of Nigeria in the Orange/CAF Champions League.

Over weekend, the ex-National Assembly and Zanaco striker played 90 minutes in the fiercely contested Lubambashi derby against arch-rivals Limpopo fc.

On Wednesday, Singuluma linked up with Zesco United players in Kenya. Zega were on their way to Sudan while Singuluma’s TP Mazembe were heading to Tunisia.

Elsewhere in the news, wing wizard Clifford Mulenga was spotted featuring for newly promoted Mpumalanga Black Aces in a pre-season game. Aces released ex-Red Arrows hitman Songwe Chalwe last month.

Mulenga has been deemed surplus at another PSL side BidVest Wits and was recently in Israel attending trials.

Meanwhile Kachepa has it that Zesco United has agreed terms with French Ligue 1 club Lorient for the transfer of Jonas Sakuwaha.

It looks like we have to turn to Congo for help. Anyway even europeans are buying athletes. We just have to be quick before kabamba is “stolen” by his country, the real country!!!!!As for Singuluba, it is a good start. I hope this will dispel the rumours that once made rounds in Lusaka that no one scores when singuluma scores!

The rumour of not scoring when he scores used to be circulated on one of the best trappers of the ball i have ever seen Mithy’s Fredrick Kashimoto (JJ as James Jengela was known at Nkana, Rhokana before).

Guys I watched Tana and Milanzi yesterday. Tana is already captain of his new Angolan team. He had a great game and I was left wondering why we should continue with the in-experienced lot at the heart of defence when we still have accomplished players like Tana. As for Milanzi, he surely has gone beyond his prime. Its good Sashi Chalwe is playing for lusaka dynamos. We certainly need experience to lead the team from behind.

If Nyambe goes for trails, i am certain that he will be tried either in the right or left back positions, not central defence, because of his poor height. In europe, such things matter a lot. However, he should seize the opportunity.

I think Nyambe is as you say, left or right fullback and that is why he will pass ma trails. He is almost alround mu defence, a man for any team. Well done HR for recomending zed players at a good pace
