Cris going back to s.A? A sign of a diminishing star
good for mbola,it will be historical for zambia to have a player in the champions league.i feel for chris katongo, his form is slowly going down and i wonder if hes gonna make an impact at cosmos.am one guy who was very much against chris leaving brondby or perhaps leaving brondby for a better club wud have made sense.armenia beildfield have always been struggling.
@Georgia Russia I agree, should he come back to SA he wil be making another dreadful career move and will end up like Mbesuma needing a miracle to revive his career. Second tier german league is by far a better option than Cosmos who are also cosistent relegation battlers. He made a bad move moving from Brondby to Armenia and should he move to Cosmos it will be an even worse decision.
Good lucky to all our lads anticipating deals. I hope cris can stay on in Germany even in the third division as it will not be easy for him to pick up from where he left off at Cosmos.
As for Felix I hope his rummours can be true as it will be an indication of how makerting it is to play for the national team that clubs can notice you even when you hardly play for your club.
I hope its just rumors coz Chris is better than that. Second league football in Germany is better than the PSL. Why can’t he go to Belguim or Portugal? I hope we are not witnesssing the downfall of our captain.
Chris’ alleged going back to Mjomana’s club (Jomo Cosmos) will be the beginining of the end of Chris’ career, just like Mbesuma, who’s now finished.
I will tell you that Chris will still remain in Germany.Thre is no way cosmo will folk out $1.5million Armenia wants to release him.
Historic for sure having young Mbola playing Champions league football. Am sure the boy knows how big this stage is and will definitely not disappoint. With his confidence I wont be surprised if he moves to a better team after this exposure.
We know that AB fliflops in and out of the Bundesliga. I dont see why Chris should rush back to SA and for that Jomo Cosmos which just earned promotion. He should just stick with AB if he cant find a better team as they will probably be back in the top flight next season if he works hard with them.
Hop Sakuwaha signs in France.
Wel wt zed players its owayz remours or goin 4trials 2unnamed club. Wats wrong wt them i pity them.as 4 zega they must work hard.zamfoot i kn u r work hard as wel bt u post information late,if u dont ve moni ask.
Do u have to be that negative about zamfoot, i thought by now u kno its not a full tym job, if u are fed up jus brouse other sites and keep yo negative comments to yo self.
atleast you have sumthin to read, learn to appreaciate.
Its always the same thing with our Zambian players, are only able to play and shine in South Africa and no where alse.Talk about Chris,Collins, even kalu failed to make an impact at PSV.For Chris,i watched him through out the last season in the Bundesliga but the perfomance wasn’t impressive at all. He was used as one of the two strikers but scored less than five goals and that led to AB’S demotion.
I don’t really understand our players. For Kalu, he was special especially when he wore the national jersey.Everybody could see the leadership each time he played. With our current players, leadership is missing. This is a testimony why most of our players are plying their trade in second division teams or play and shine in the SA league. I hope Mbola may snooped up by a big club and play regular football.
That is why the boys must play their lungs out and qualify for World Cup and be seen on big stage. Parker of SA did not do much at Con Cup, now FC Twente has signed him. Boys like Kalaba and Felix are miles ahead of this boy.
@Big Steve from SA
well this just could be the end of chris unless something is done to help him find a better club, his recent form of late has not been that good both club and national team.its also disturbing to see young men in the name of fwayo staying away from training.why cant they embrace that kalu kind of spirit.faz shud come in and help our players whenever they stay away from thier clubs.
Poverty also. Fwayo comes to Zambia with all the attention in Kalingalinga and he feels he is a star.
Cris should stay @ that same club or go back to Brondby. Good luck to Zega & Mbola, please make the country proud. Now that Zega is in the Champions League, maybe Stophira & Felix should join them. Euro scouts always watch this competition so these guys might be spotted. Zamfoot, whats up? These days you taking too long to post new stories, are we witnessing your downfall?
bakota apapene ba chris??????????
how old are our players, they finish so fast.chris’s career has been so shot and hes playing like a man whos 36,is he 28 as he claims.
Good luck to everyone, keeping working hard and stay focused.
Guys, i think we all know that Zamfoot is basically running this site pro bono. So to all the critics who cry about late stories e.t.c, u should tamper down the criticsm unless u can unearth stories and post them on this site at quicker pace. So Unless you have paid or donated money to zamfoot then i think u need to layoff zamfoot.
Regards,
ok i know the solution to this whole zamfoot problem .if sum 1 sees sumthin b4 zamfoot crew then feel free to inform us on the comments and am sure we’ll all appreciate a lot but be sure to mention the source so we can verify your info…that way we would be doing sumthing positive instead of jus criticizing
Good for Mbola, At his age the sky is the limit and in a way the Armenia journey will provide him with the much needed valubale experience and knowkedge about european football and way of life.
What is this?
Noah Chivuta Headed to Isreal its becoming another PSL all the best then at least they are in contention for Champions league he is headed to Maccabi Tel Aviv.
chris’s experience just goes to show that our players are age cheaters. surely in all honesty, do you truly believe that chris would be 28 years old? i don’t think so, i feel he’s in his mid 30s. just see the way he looks, and you will know that such a person cannot be 28. i’m sincerely asking our players to stop cheating on age. if katongo were honest about his age, he would be able to get sympathy from us on why the downfall in his footballing standards. am asking renard not to use him in the away game against algeria, he might cost us the game.
coming to this tana nonsense of incorporating old players in the team. i would appreciate if tana could tell me how these so-called experienced players like mbesuma, sichone, bakala, milanzi, tana have assited us in the past. have they qualified the country for the world cup or won the nations cup? if not then this nonsesnse talk of experience should be thrown away with the contempt that it deserves. tana is not experienced enough to talk about experience because he doesn’t have one, that is why he is playing for a lower division team in angola.
Eish at least Noah something is happening.
Chivuta heads for Israel trials
Posted: 2009-07-09 13:33
SuperSport United midfielder Noah Chivuta is set to jet out to Israel tonight where he will have trials with Maccabi Tel Aviv.
Chivuta’s departure has been confirmed to KickOff.com by his agent at Stella Africa, Steve Kapeluschnik who says the Zambian national team midfielder is expected to spend a week with the Tel Aviv outfit.
“Noah is very excited about the chance to play in Israel. He has done well in local football and with the Zambian national team and deserves his chance to play overseas.
“Maccabi Tel Aviv are big team in Israel and they will be playing in the Uefa Champions League, so if Noah signs he could get the chance to compete in one of the biggest tournaments in the World.”
We all know that Zamfoot is not a full time gig for the guys that are going way out of their way to give us the info they give us. Whats with the critisizing over a free service. Do you who are finding the energy to critisize Zamfoot do anything thats of public interest for free??????
Weigh it out before you blurt it out. What Zamfoot is doing takes a lot of time and effort especially for people with other commitments. If the site does not meet your supposedly very high standard then move on, the internet is limitless.
All the best to ZESCO. Mbola, way to go. Fwayo should take a leaf from one Collins Mbesuma the effects of “komboni” attitude when you are swarmed by good for nothing shake shake seekers from your mother compound – they just mislead and in the end, they will be in the forefront of saying “alipwa”. Chris Katongo should stay on at the Germany outfit as it is better than that Jomo Cosmos and the South African League as a whole. All the best to all the boys trying to find a foothold somewhere footballwise. We are watching and very much behind ya!!!
The best thing is for all of us to post whatever new data that we come across and that hasnt been posted by zamfoot. I eqaully appreciate the comments that are posted after someone brings new data. Big steve has just given us the lowdown on Chivuta – basically it doesnt just have to be zamfoot keeping the fire burning. We are sll in this together. This is perhaps the most sensible zambian run website. Most of the other websites will have clowns posting stuff that doesnt add any value to one. Thats why guys on this site get upset when immaturity creeps in.
Good 4 noah,l thot he was nt getin the chance he deserved at matsatsanta, suddenly another door opens, there is God afterall n l pray he makes it.
This site is not a commercial site like Kickoff, it is just an information sharing site, hopefully it can atttact ads in future and improve. Its fine, the guys are not paid to do this.
Its my prayer that cliffod, noah, sakuwaha, william, hachiuka and felix make it.With them playing competitive leagues we are assured of a brigher future.
They say “A beggar is not a chooser”. Zamfoot is doing this out of their goodness, if they want they can shut this site down because of people like anonymous. Its either you appreciate what they are doing or find another site.
Moving on: This is something I did not want to bring up, but I’ve noticed that some people are putting off our team. Claiming that history is against us or the US is a proven team and ours is not. First of all I want to mention that I used to share the same sentiments a couple of years ago. There was a time when I had even stopped watching Zambia play, you know why? Because of the politics that was involved in the game. I remember when this happening for a number of years, when the same coaches would be given the job of the caretaker, and these coaches would deploy the same players that failed to achieve anything. At this time We had a lot of talented players, enough of these players that We would have had a winning team. The good players were always left out of the team. This became a trend, this is one of the reasons Zambia used to show up at Afcon only to be eliminated in the first round. My point is we’ve always had enough talent that we would have proven ourselves. We look bad on paper, but we all know what Zambia is a capable of doing. I can come up with a long list of players that were never given a chance in their prime. Now with HR as the head coach, I’ve noticed that he has somewhat managed to break this trend. He got rid of all the underachievers that were in Kalus team and only picked the good players and added some young talented lads in the mix. I don’t care if We make it to the WC or not, I’m just happy to see a team of players that are good enough to represent the country.
Problem with the Zambian players is age cheating. How can a 24 year old struggle to lose wait? am now turning 30 and yet I don’t have a problem losing weight in training. You can perhaps ague about metabolism and genetics, but I can also say players like Mbesuma had the best physical science facilities available in S.A, England and Turkey there is just no way with discipline a player can fail to regain form in two years after an injury that did not require much surgery but rest and healing.
I recover within days though am not a premier league footballer, or from some serious competition league. so what is Mbesuma’s excuse?
Christopher its the same thing, you can tell the player is unable to handle his wait if he cant keep balnce when shooting, balance is crucial otherwise you shoot in different direction. Patrice Beumele there physical coach should maintain a serious disciplined schedule and resistance training for these guys for these guys.

@Big Steve from SA
just look at this i will be shock if swallows leaves out mbesuma and signs mutapa
The Siya crew can exclusively reveal that former Orlando Pirates midfielder Perry Mutapa is training with Moroka Swallows, hoping to secure a deal with the Dube Birds!
Mutapa left Pirates at the end of the 2005/06 season and went back home to Zambia, where he played for Lusaka Dynamos. He was also on the books of FC AK, although for a short stint.
According to our sources, Mutapa is now training with Swallows. “He’s training with Swallows but nothing has come out of it yet. I think the team is still assessing him,” revealed a source close to the player.
When the Siya crew called Swallows, a member of the technical team confirmed, speaking on condition of anonymity, that Mutapa was indeed training with the Dube Birds.
“Yes, that’s true, he’s training here with a number of other trialists, but we haven’t finalised anything yet. We’ll give them another week or so before we decide who to sign.”

sorry meant i will be shocked
every old players has to tire up at one point or the other.how can one explain the tiring of chris, collins wen they just in thier mid and late twenties.are they telling us thier real age or wat.thier careers are just to shot and for me it tells me that thier is a lot of age cheating.
Age cheating is what has
brought zambian football down. like myself we were class mates with EMMANUEL MBOLA in grade 8D and 9D at Mansa High School and we liked calling him ba ‘Emma’ that was in 2001 and 2002.
In 2002 MBOLA played in Coca Cola championship, that was secondary school championship, and in the same year was selected in the Luapula secondary selected the team that was representing Luapula in the interprovincials.
In 2002 MBOLA was older and stronger that me and most our classmates, eccept he was shotter than me, but come today am 23 and him is still 16? that is all, and am not trying to pull him down coz he is stil young and
talented but not 16 or 17.
go!!! mbola
@Anonymous
interesting if its true
age cheating is indeed real.why is it that most of our players are married at a tender age.e.g given singuluma turned 23 today and to me he does not look like 23.anther close sourse tells me fwayo was born in 82 not 89 as he puts it.do u think such players can play for a long time like 5 years.off course wen u do yo maths he 5 years from now he will be 30 something
Josef, RSA I will be shocked too, but I hear perry has been trying to get back in shape. What does that say about making a comeback? Mbesuma still has a chance to pick up his form, but his no Perry so he should try to do that soon. Perry actually had a similar case as that of Mbesuma, he became overweight. I remember he used to train with some sort of a belt on his stomach, so that he would lose that potbelly.
I think the issue of age cheating is everywhere in Africa. In my opinion I think its a mater of how long it takes to be recognized. using your original birth date wont take you anywhere, and this is after you do the math. Scouts usually look for young players, and coming from a country called Zambia does not help. By the time they hear about you, you’d be hitting 30’s. This will only stop if our players start going abroad at a young age. I know most of the players dream of playing in Europe. In order to make that dream come true you have to lie about your age, I bet most of you would do the same thing.
Age cheatin is everywhere guys, except tat Zambians re the only pipo who never support there players when things re bad, just a little motivation can go a long way guys, i assure you,
Dr_five please may you stop this nonsense of supporting age cheaters. it is people like you who are contributing to bringing soccer standards down in zambia and sub-saharan africa. i hope hope by supporting this age cheating you are not a soccer player yourself. cursed are you age cheaters, how do you expect God to bless you when you enter soccer on the premise of lies? lies never last, it is only the truth which lasts. ask collins mbesuma and chris, they will tell you how devastating age cheating is because they are victims of age cheating themselves.
nowander the zambia national soccer team of the kalusha bwalya’s, charles musonda’s and the like was succesful because age cheating wasn’t as rampant then as it is now. I am suggesting that we come up with a system in zambia to ascertain players real ages. we don’t want a repeat of the sad experience we have faced with mbesuma and chris where they blossom for a little while and fade away suddenly because old age has caught up with them.
i think in the current national team, I would say joseph and jacob are the only players who have come close to telling their real age.
Dr-Five, I’m with you. Age cheating is everywhere, and when I mean everywhere, I mean WORLDWIDE. Why is it that the European countries are never questioned? If those Germans and Italians we see at the U-20 level, are U-20, then katwishi. Stop with all this self-hatred! Age-cheating is not good, but that is the least of our problems!
