French Ligue 1 side invite Sakuwaha for trials
Zambianfootball.net can reveal and understand that International and Zesco United winger Jonas Sakuwaha has been invited for trials by French Ligue 1 side Lorient.
Sakuwaha who was voted in the CHAN 2009 ‘Team of the tournament’ as the best right winger is scheduled to fly out to France this weekend and expected to spend a week there.
The gangling winger whose main strength is pacy and power has been one of the most consistency players in the Zambian Premier League.
Lorient finished 10th on the log last season.
And Sakuwaha’s Zesco teammate William ‘The Magician’ Njobvu is also set to leave for trials on Monday together with Sebastian Mwansa to Israel.
Power Dynamos captain Francis ‘Mr Reliable’ Kasonde is on the verge of joining Sudanese giants Al Merriekh while South African PSL side Bloemfotein Celtic are also believed to be after his signature.
Chan 2009 Golden Boot winner Given ‘Freedom’ Singuluma will be linking up with his new teammates tomorrow in Sudan. TP Mazembe is taking part in the CECAFA Club tournament in Khartoum.
Thats good news Zamfoot.We need more of our players to play in strong leagues and am confident Jonas will make it.Arrows defender Kamuzati Kabwe is moving to Zesco united by the end of this week.Can someone confirm which defender is leaving Zesco for trials abroad between HH and Nyambe
Saku, thats the way! Shine and dont stop dribling no matter what the c
Good news for Jonas, he has been very consistent this season and has been a big influence on Zesco United’s qualification to the Group stage of the Champions’ league and also the good run in the national league. When a chance comes a player’s way to go professional it is only right for the club to give blessings to such an opportunity and facilitate his movement.
As for Kamuzati Kabwe moving from Arrows to Zesco United,it is just a rumour which will die down quickly.
thats what am talking about!good luck!
Weelee! I ve now recovered from the loss where we dominated play. Go zambia go 2010 we believe and yes we can. Weelee fellow bloggaz.
Pictures of him arriving at football house can be seen on lusakatimes.com under the heading ‘week in pictures’
2006 zambian footballer of the year Sebastian Mwansa is also a good player and needs to ply his trade in better teams even he can break in good european leagues.
Algerians are now diturbing the peace we have had on this site.
I beg to differ with you @mabwana if the Israeli league is like the PSL in SA why do South Africans leave SA to go and play in Israel (e.g. Thembinkosi fanteni and Peter Tsepo Masilela these are first team players in the bafana bafana squad )And another tip for you mabbwana the Israeli league which does not inspire confidence in you this where the likes of Yakubu Ayigbeni,Wilfred Mugeyi ,John Paintsil started their professional careers so the Israeli league is no where near the SA psl .The other thing is teams from Israeli Hold there own in the uefa cup and uefa champions league but the South African Clubs fail to perform in the caf champions league or Caf confederations cup .So ba mabwanna ba mudala I think going to Isreal is not such a bad career choice after all .So lets just wish both Seba Mwansa and Willi Ndhlovu the best of luck in Israel and not lets not criticise the Israeli league without proper facts .
Ba Zamfoot what time is Egypt vs Rwanda going to Kickoff .
congratulation boy
good player..fast and good body ..but he need to scor more gools ..I hope to see him in the future the super star of zambia football..good luck 4 sako

R. Arrow v Forest
Roan V Zamtel
Nakambala v Konkola
Yamoto v Y. Arrows
Chambishi v C. Eagles

@Anonymous What facts are you using to back up your argument about SA PSL being on the same level as Isreali league ?
Nakambala 1 – 0 Konkola
Roan 0 – 1 Zamtel (Gavin Chitalu scored for Zamtel)
Chambishi 1 – 0 Choma Eagles
Zanaco 1 – 0 GBFC (Jack Chileshe scored for Zanaco)
After only 10 minutes of play, Henry Banda was sent off for unsupporting behaviuor. Zanaco however scored through a penalty in the 35th minute. Its second half and Zanaco still holding on.
Nakamba have just scored to make it 2-nil against Konkola. Masumba scored both goals.
R. Arrows 1 – 1 Forest
Lawrence Pondani scored first for Arrows and at the nick of thefirst half Forest equalised through Chomba Sikazwe (14min into second half).
In Kabwe, still Warriors 0 – 0 Dynamos

Kennedy Chola scored for City
Still Zanaco 1 – 0 GBFC (with 10 min to play)
Weleeeeee!!!
City 2 – 0 Y. Arrows
Jeoffrey Nsama scored second goal.
Just heard that Rabor(sp) Bank – holding company for Zanaco, is the sponsor of Chipolopolo camping in Holland (according to B. Mwamelo).
Almost full time and Zanaco hit the post! still 1-Nil to Zanaco.
Full time: Nakamba 3 – 1 Konkola
Roan 1 – 1 Zamtel
Chambishi 1 – 1 Choma Eagles (2 min of play)
Point taken mabwanna but I just feel Its cardinal that our players start by crawling before they can walk i.e. .start in Israel then move on to Europe’s big Five leagues i.e. Spain,England,Italy ,France or German leagues .Otherwise if the skip the stage of playing in a league like the Isreali,danish or Swedish leagues they end up taking on more than what they can handle .We have a perfect example in mbesuma`s move to Portsmouth it was a bit too early and other thing is the SA PSL is worlds apart from the English premiership and this meant mbesuma was doomed from the start .So personally I prefer Zambians going to Israel ,Denmark ,Sweden or Norway cause at least .I know for sure they are guaranteed a place in the starting line ups of their club sides
good news for saku,the young man is talented and wish him luck.
hey thats good for the sugar boys from mazabuka,hope they continue with the same form.
Can anyone confirm the news posted by Marty USA a few posts back that Zambia will train in the Netherlands next?
What happened to training in Spain or North Africa? Are we sure that we will be able to acclimatize if we camp in Netherlands? I thought the team was awash with cash, so just because we get an offer from Rabobank, it doesn’t mean that we should take them up on their offer before Algeria. I thought HR was working on something in the South of France anyway?
Zamfoot sorry to say this but this where losing starts, the coach wanted italy or france, chipungu was mouthing about morocco and maybe (am not sure ) FAZ made a arrangement with holland ( I Know its where mulenga plays but i personal think Kalu might have had something to do with the arragement)..
This a do or die match/matches, the coach’s wish should have be respected and soccer managemenet should work out together with agreements.I think we have alots of coaches on this case and this is not good.
@Mabbwana
@Zamfoot
Big steve , Billy.
Am just wondering whats happening to Noel and Davis at supersport considering that these guy could not break into the first team last season..and supersport has made some good signing this season.
Any thoughts or imformation on the dual???
Im starting up a Campain for Patrick Kabamba to be given a Zambian Citizenship…..!! He is the only piece missing in the chipolopolo team..
Thanks Zamfoot.
Joseph, RSA, i get sense from HR that he didn’t want to camp in North Africa for whatever reasons, so he suggested France instead, but i don’t think he had concrete plans at that stage. Holland is great, they take football serious there, but as Whisper points out there will be the issue of acclimatization for North Africa. Also, Mabbwana mentions plans for a tournament, i think as long as we keep the emphasis on getting things right and on the game in hand (without to much distraction of long tournaments). It should be good.
@Seen from afar
I understand your point, but i still think that the coach must be given what he requires.In this case he clearly stated france or italy.I also think its important to give the coach what he wishes and want to work with so that in the end we donot get alot of “because” and “buts”
Yes Josef, if HR can be 100% happy with a plan and if we still have the options, then FAZ should go for it. I also had apprehensions when i heard North Africa (at this sensitive stage). Italy sounds good actually, the conditions should be close to Algeria. Friendly matches are key aswell of course.
I agree with josef, rsa. I can smell kalu in this. About the friendlies ,they will play 2nd ligue teams or the ultretch team but their reserves. Everything in zambia is going upside down. Ask the monkeys, they’ll tell you.
Wether Kalu is involved or not We just need to play enough friendlies
Thanks for the link DaMwiinger.
@Gametime12
Yes we need play enough friendlies, but remember we need to play enough friendlies which go hand in hand with the coach with plans..not just friendlies
Just a heads up on the 14th and 21st Emanuel Mbola’s team will be playing against Dinamo Zagreb in the UEFA champions league. Right now Issac Chansa and Boyd Mwila’s teams are going head to head in the swedish league.
off to watch the egyptians against the Rwandese, hope Egypt wins.
I hope it ends in a draw, Josef, RSA I think you a right. One thing I noticed about HR though is that He always tries to explain himself. He is the coach no need to explain why someone missed a penalty, that’s why He ends up dropping the wrong players. HR forget the media just do your job, If he feels its best for the team to camp in France then he should voice his opinion.
Wow Egypt Just missed a clear chance, but it looks like Rwanda will be Mascred
massacred
Are those vuvuzilas in Cairo???
Yea don’t they play those all around Africa?
DaMwiinger the channel you posted is broadcasting tennis
Oh i want to watch it through windows media then I’d be able to record it
The Egyptians arepoor in the last third-they will be punished for this
Man Rwanda is just playing for the sake of playing, there’s no purpose in whatever they are doing.
@Gametime12
Not sure if I know how you can do that
