Hachipuka, Zulu attending trials in Egypt

Zambian Premier League side Choma Green Eagles duo of Kebby Hachipuka and Aubrey Zulu are believed to be in Egypt attending trials, Zambianfootball.net understands. According to reliable sources the duo left the country on Tuesday and are expected to spend 14 days at unnamed club in Egypt. Both players missed Eagles' 2-1 defeat to Zesco United yesterday. Zulu was last season'sĀ  league top scorer with 12 goals while Hachipuka made his full international debut for Zambia in the 1-0 win over Togo in September 2008. After impressing in that match, many pundits bookmarked to be the 'new found' general in the holding role but a below par performance in a friendly game against Morocco (Zambia lost 3-0) plus the emergence of William Njobvu forced national team coach Herve Renard to think relagate the elagant and economical midfielder to the bench. Mid-week League Games

Champions Zesco United are away to this season's surprise package Choma Eagles while Red Arrows host Zamtel at Nkoloma Stadium. Zesco will have a full house with Nyambe Mulenga expected to return to the starting line up. Kebby Hachipuka will lead Eagles in Maamba. At Nkoloma, Israeli FIFA licenced agent Karim Nir will watch from the stands as he scouts for talent. Full story

Chipolopolo to camp in North Africa

By Ba Muzo The Zambia National Soccer Team is set to camp in anĀ unnamed North African country ahead of the decisive World Cup/Africa Cup 2010 match against the Desert Foxes of Algeria in Blida on September 5.
