Good to hear about these results. Whatever happened to the All Stars vs the Rest? I think for Egypt, the boys should camp in Zambia and play a series of games against a select ZPL side. make the tickets cheap to pack the stadiums. Play one in lusaka and another in Kitwe. I would like to see what these local players have to offer against the national team. What do you think?

The 2009 KCM Premier Division season is more interesting as the chasing pack for championship is big and unpredictable. Zesco United, Zanaco, Buffaloes, Red Arrows possibly Power all have what it takes to be champions.Surprise teams like Forest Rangers and Choma Eagles have also added to the potential leaders.

The most interesting battle is between Zesco United and Zanaco as there are a number of factors involved . Wedson left Zesco for Zanaco seeking new national challenges as opposed to international ones, Fighton on the other hand crossed over from Lusaka Dynamos to Zesco at a time when Zesco were going for continental honours.Zesco are now in the Group Stage and top the local chart. It will be interesting to see where this football drama will take us to after 30 games are played.

Moffat I don’t think Power has what it takes at the moment to challenge more organised teams like Zesco & Zanaco for the tittle.Iam a Power fan & I can tell you that things aren’t well.Rashad Nayee & his committee blundered when they hired Mohamed Fahty as replacement for veteran coach Fordson Kabole but it appears that they still want to prove a point even when its clear that Fahty has destroyed the team which only last season played champaign football under our very own Kabole whom they paid a quarter of $4000 which the nonentity Egyptian coach is pocketing per month on top of allowances, free transport and free accomodation. We were known to be a star studded team in the country but despite continueing receiving billions in grants from CEC the current Power committee seem to have no idea on how to maintain the status of the club which was among the giants on the continent.Power has the capacity to have a quality coach with a strong squard, the club can even afford to make replica jerseys for sale to the fans like what Zesco is doing but the people in-charge of the club are a let down.I wonder if these guys even understand the culture & the history of this great team.”CAN WE PLEASE HAVE THE RIGHT PEOPLE IN THE COMMITTEE,WE ARE TIRED OF TALKING”.

I was about to commend the local referees for the good job they were doing this season until I watched some games where the referees clearly had other ideas. Fair Play entails that all parties to the beautiful game be impartial and respectiful to each other. As for the centre men and women, I beg of you not to decide the outcome of games before they are played.

Another appeal goes to club admininstrators, do not get familiar with referees and vice versa. As we get into the second round, some clubs will be in relegation fights whilst others will be trying to consolidate their positions, let the best teams win fairly. For football to develop in Zambia, we must encourage Fair Play by all. Let us fight against RAW – Referee Assisted Wins.

You are right my brother Timothy Mbewe looks to be very aggressive when it comes to attacking.

I think the Zambian premier league should be reduced to 10 teams to increase the quality of the teams. Make Div 1 a more competitive league also.
