Renard confident of victory as Algeria train at Konkola
By Zamfoot Crew at Konkola in Chililabombwe
Zambia National Soccer Team coach Herve ‘The Super Fox’ Renard is bubbling with confidence ahead of tomorrow’s top of the table joint World Cup/Africa 2010 Group C crunch clash against the Desert Foxes or ‘Greens’ of Algeria at Konkola Stadium in Chililabombwe. Speaking here this afternoon after his charges had a mid-morning training session at tomorrow’s venue, the French born mentor revealed to the Zamfoot Crew that the Chipolopolo Boys were ready to carry the day against Algeria. Click here if you want to watch ZAMBIA v AlGERIA live on internet with kickoff at 14;00 hours CAT
And the Agerian team tasted the Konkola turf with their own work out which began around 14 00 hours, the kick off time for tomorrow’s titanic match, after the Chipolopolo Boys had left.
Renard has said his team had enough amunition to trample the Desert Foxes. The 40 year old coach has expressed confidence in his defence marshalled around former Under 20 class of 2007 partnership of Nyambe Mulenga and Dennis Banda that has not allowed a single goal at home in the qualifiers thus far.
The Super Fox has also revealed that Fwayo Tembo had not been considered for the Rwanda match because he had lost training time as he attended to his new marriage in Lusaka but that the explosive Etoile Du Sahel winger was in the frame to play some part in the Algeria clash.
In training, in what looked like the probable line up for tomorrow as first revealed to you earlier this week by Zamfoot, Renard had Kennedy Mweene, Joseph Musonda, Emmanuel Mbola, Nyambe Mulenga, Dennis Banda, Francis Kasonde, Rainford Kalaba, Felix Katongo, Given Singuluma, Chris Katongo and Jacob Mulenga on one side facing the rest of the squad.
Zambia Probable line up:
__________Mweene_________
Muzo______Nyambe_____Dennis______Mbola
__________Mr Reliable________
Feli-Goal________________Kaka-Balika
Jacob__________Singuluma_______Chris
Meanwhile, Algeria also trained at Konkola this afternoon with Coach Rabah Sadaane having two groups of his squad train seperately with what looked like his first eleven team on one side and the rest by themselves as they were put through their paces.
The Algerian probable line
Gaouuaoui
Halliche Bougherra Antar Yahia Belhaji
Mansouri Lemouchi Karim Ziani Matmour
Ghezzal Djebbour
**This the same line up which beat Egypt 3-1. Note that Belhaji(left back will be attacking alot to make the formantion to 3-5-1
Speaking shortly after the ‘Greens’ training session coach Sadaane said he believes after watching Egypt shock World Champions Italy 1-0 Thursday at the on going Confederations Cup in South Africa, the Pharaohs were still the favourites to qualify to South Africa from Group C in spite of his team beating them 3-1 in Blida a fortnight ago and lying at the foot of the table.
The veteran coach who masterminded Zambia’s fall in 1985 however admitted that Zambia would also have a say:
”I think Zambia also have a chance because they are a good team.”
And Sadaane has said he had no problems with the pitch at Konkola since FIFA had passed it fit for the match.
” I think the pitch is OK as FIFA say so. My players just have to adapt to playing in different pitches in Africa.”

Sleep well my Algerian brothers. Brace for the wrath of the copper bullets. You can try to barricade the goal. But it will pierce through your armour. My advice is RUN RUN Algerian RUN the Zambians are coming.
Good luck.
Go Zambia Go!
Dear Zambians you are all cute thinking u stand a chance tomorrow against Algeria but then again i understand the show u put on for your own…..the pitch is bad granted yet it was approved by that fifa official guy who oddly enough happens to be an egyptian national,…no matter…because tomorrow we will move one step closer to our ultimate goal so to speak! I have seen the game agaisnt Rwanda ARE U freaking KIDDING ME? you should step up your game if you intend to play the way u trash talk…you will not be facing baby-foot dolls…but accomplished players who play in premierships and what not, i should prolly be more diplomatic but whom are we kidding? it’s do or die…it’s about time Algeria regained its glory and on that matter what have u got to show for? am sorry but it aint your turn just yet take a ticket.

Just doesn’t surprise me the way these Algerians are behaving on this blog. Must be a lot of unemployed Algerians with nothing better to do. Can’t even string a conversation together…haha Continue your repetitive ramblings somewhere else.
you dont have internet in zambia hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Brother, you speak to the richest African country Every Do you know
We in Algeria, the majority of homes there is the Internet
You speak now, of engagement with the young do not work
We do not rely on copper for a living
You Aktar poorest African country, you have no Internet
Can compare between Algeria and Zambia
We rank fifth in the gas reserves
And ranked fifteenth in the oil
And now speak to them with Algeria, Zambia

Getreal and all u Algerians, glad to see u are exposing urselves. I see you want Tunisia and Maroc to win eh? Well its Arabs VS Blacks eh? God VS Allah eh? Well the better team will win 2moro.I hope u show us respect after the match like ur cousins the Egytians!

Wow I’ve been gone for a couple hours and next thing you the Algerians have spammed the blog. What a big ego they got, I say We beat them tomorrow then thump then in Algiers to send a message.
algeria walala
@algeriaaaaaaaaaaaa
Just don’t hang yourself when your team looses. By the way Zambia is ranked 2nd in the world in copper reserves. Your computer is made with Zambian copper. You speak good enough english. Good luck.
I agree, I was also taken aback by the amount of Algerian spam on the blog gosh these guys play dirty everywere.
Ba Zed will whip a 3-0 today.
Algerians, you should open your website.why are you putting your languages here?anyway, all the same you are loosing.zambia 4 – algeria 1.after 8 hours you wont top the group anymore
This guy has passion. Almost believable. Potential upsets by; Morocco – maybe, Tunisia – yes, Egypt – yes, Algeria – no. You have no under 20 players to build from. Thats why you go begging French-born drop-outs. Good luck though.
Hehehe, the best joke I ever jeard … Hehehehehehehehehe
Hehehe, the best joke I ever heard … Hehehehehehehehehe
Cowards blog at night. Algerian please! Worst away team claiming 5-0 in Konkola? Do your research. We don’t concede that easily at home. In fact Zambia (note correct spelling moron) has one of the best home records of the entire qualification. As you say “Inchallah” (May God’s Will be done). Welcome to God’s own country my friend. And my he vindicate all the racial attacks made by last nights cowards.
Today we hoist the flag. Watch, learn and see that that Eagle on it was not an aberration (look it up in the dictionary). Look a little closer. That black strip the people you insulted while they slept. Then pay attention as your real education begins for a 90 minute session. By the way, the year is 2009.
@algeriaaaaaaaaaaaa
You’ve said it all. When did I ever talk about who’s rich and who’s not??? Why do Algerians flock to France then? Anyway Zambia rely on Copper, Algeria rely on Fossil Fuels…what’s your point? This is a football blog.
Hi everybody
yu have all to stop talking in this blog 90mn ..we’ll come back later to continue our conversation…good luck for the two parties…see yu Bye
Good luck Chipolopolo. I for one am hoping for a quick start for Zambia in this game. Lets play with a lead and add pressure. Mulenga will be man of the match. Go Zambia.
