Singuluma is one of the few Zambian players who speaks some good english and his claim that he didnt what he was doing doesnt hold water, I think it was just folly on his part.
I like the commitment being by Chintu and Mweene. These guys are coming from winding up a hectic season at ther clubs and one would expect tham to be rushing home to “chliliza” but they are putting all that away for national interest.
Thumbs up to the guys, I hop they set precedence for the other players in terms of upping ther comitment to see us at SA 2010.

National team players still have trouble speaking English? thats a shame in this day and age. Something is wrong

Justice, I agree with you. I think they have short term mentality. Go to Zambia and shine with girls and that. If you have a long term view you work hard to secure a living and a future. Look at Beckham, the guy is so rich but displined as a sportman. Ronaldo at Man U I understand spends a lot of time practicing free kicks.

Fbm ur statment validates Steven's point. You are so caught up in ur own mediocrity and percieved inteligence that u fail to see the nuance's and merits of someone else's thoughts. Obviously in ur mediocre world "just one sentence" would be enough to explain the complexity that is Zambian football. Otherwise anything other than ur view in one sentence is "noise".

Zambian players are just not ambitious enough. In life you need to sit down and plan. (set up your aims and objects) You have to set up goals on how far you would like to reach and how you can acheive that. Get advice from people that have acheived something i life. Look at most of the friends to most of the footballers, it is people who want to destroy them, but they do not see that, and those are their advisers, who are just there for their money. Being an expert footballer is not enough if you do not draw some guidelines. In Zambia we even have role models in Kalu, Miti, Malitoli etc. But I wonder how many of these footballers ever seek advice from these guys before they make important decisions regarding their football lives. If one needs advice it is up to that person to make an approach to seek advice and not the other way round

Most Zambian players behave like people who live their lives without a budget, fikai sova ifini and too much drinking and hanging around useless places

Most of the top players do really train hard both physically and technically, they improve their game every time they get a chance

Players in Zambia need to change their mentality and very quickly or else it will be the same old story

I have not played soocer at a higher level, but I played at amature level here in Denmark and I learnt many things. I have followed pros in Europe, South America, Asia and as such I know what it takes to rich greater hights i pro soccer. Some one needs to organise Seminars and invite Miti, Kalu, Malitoli etc to talk to our players and pump some sense into them

Surely something needs to be done

My point is Zambian football is not world class, even though we have world class talent, and the people charged with making us a world class outfit are FAZ. They are responsible for all matters football in Zambia, and if football in Zambia continues looking like its an amatuer operation, the people responsible are FAZ.

Steven :The problem with you chaps (Spaks, FBM etc) you always are quick to defend incompetence in Zambia. We have all the talent in the world, but for some reason we fail to even have an official national jersey. Our players are poorly marketed even though FAZ has all the backing from the Government. I for one do not accept mediocrity. Some of these matters maybe trivial to some of you, but if we can’t even negotiate a contract for a national kit, let alone for our players, what is the role of FAZ. I am not interested in excuses for FAZ anymore, the reason countries like Togo reach the World Cup before us is because of these constant acceptance of substandard behavior. By the way, I fully understand the ITC issue, but FAZ has the absolute responsibility for ALL Zambian footballers. If that responsibility is too great for them they should relinquish their positions.

I do not understand any of your noise. What is your point, just in one sentence

Boss, its always good to know your facts and not just talk otherwise you stand to be embarrassed, FAZ only have the obligation to issue an ITC whether national team player or not so long as he is registered with them, know your facts bwana.
