April 24, 2009

Under-20 international midfielder Justine ‘The Wadrope’ Zulu’s , Hapoel Be’er Sheva has won promotion back to the Israeli Premier League with five games to spare after an eight year absence.

Be’er Sheva needing just a a point from Friday’s match against Ramat Iron Nir HaSharon rallied from 3-1 down to score 2 goals in the last 10 minutes in a full to capacity (13,000) Vasermil Stadium to secure promotion.

Zulu who has been one of Be’er Sheva’s key players in the engine room watched from the stands as he is currently nursing a knee injury he sustained last week in a league match. The Zambian starlet has played 23 matches this season and started in 20 of them. Zulu initially joined the club on a five months attached as a youth team player in January 2008 before turning pro and signing a five year deal in July 2008.

Liverpool’s Israeli international and skipper Yossi ‘The Kid’  Benayoun started his career at Hapoel Be’er Sheva at the age of 9 before being spotted by Ajax Amsterderm at the age of 15 but failed to adapt in Holland and eventually returned to Be’er Sheva after just 2 years.

the coaches should consider zulu in the under 23 games and all these boys like Nathan sinkala(in israel)and others before thinking of bringing them in the main team which has proved prayers already so far

Anyone who is good enough should be considered for the National Team regardless of age, how let us leave the selection of players to HR

The comparison with Benayoun…well here is a major player on the World Stage whose football began with the club that Justin Zulu is playing for in Israel.(what is sinister about that)..I wonder

We hope for the best as our player matures with every match he plays. He looks content on the ball when I watch him and Im so sure that very soon, there will be competition in the midlle of the Zambian midfield.
