It’s April 1st; Singuluma hasn’t signed for Marseille

April 1, 2009

The Zamfot Crew would like to state that the previous article suggesting our own goalpoacher Given ‘Freedom’ Singuluma has signed a 3 year deal with French side Olympique Marseille is NOT true….It’s ’Fool’s Day.

When the Zamfoot Crew contacted him about the article to be published, the wonderboy laughed.

“ Mudala (Zamfoot online editor), thats a good one (the fool’s day idea)…I hope that will help me get marketed to Euro Clubs,” he laughed.

On the possibility of him  switching to Europe, the dreadlocked star confirmed that there might be news in the coming few days if not next week but it’s not Olympic Marseille.

And to the Bigman in Denmark, Ba Justice Kafusha, we really appreciated your trust in the Zamfoot crew though on this one you got it wrong Mudala.

Spaks said: I hope this is not April fool Data ka If it’s true, way to go

Justice Kafusha respond to Spaks’ comment: I trust Zamfoot

To everyone who has been on site and posting comments, please continue supporting us! Lets take Zambian Soccer to another level together.

By the way from Saturday to Monday, the comments pluggin stopped working this was due to unexpected spike in traffic. We would like to state that our technicians have restored everything back to normal and We ’re now back. Expect all the great Features like Kachepa on the Ball, Jacob will be answering to Questions soon and You will have the chance to ask the new Golden Boys of Zambian football duo of Given Singuluma and Emmanuel Mbola in the coming few weeks. The site simply crushed.

And lastly, Simataa Simataa is also ready to take on your questions.

Thanks for Support,

Zamfoot Crew

no one has managed to fool me today, but I must admit Zamfoot just did it! I believed the whole story entirely and even shared it with my brother, who i struggled hard to convince as he had been fooled earlier that Ronaldinho was planning to visit Zambia!

i personally dont find it funny. Daily mail had an April fools joke about Renard resigning but at least they put a by line stating that it was a joke. Zamfoot, i appreciate what you have brought to zambian football but i find this joke lacking in sensitivity to your bloggers. For me its thumbs down ba zamfoot. nshisekelemo !

Spaks, i just have to be honest, and thats how i really feel. I would be lying if i said it was funny. Even when BBC pulled that prank about the game involving Ghana having to be replayed, they reminded us that it was 1st April today – thats an escape clause for them. I was happy for half the day because like Justice, i also take what Zambian football say as credible. Now imagine ukwisa mfumya pa nsansa. Should i honestly be happy ?

That was a good one zamfoot. but i think u should state that its a joke at the end of the article becoz when u google given, the story may come in the results and pipo may believe it thus doing more harm than good

    Bane,
Some of you may have been thinking i always senselessly supported Simataa Simataa. Here is an opportunity for you guys to find out from the horses mouth. Be rest assured that you will get your responses. I trust we will all be civil for the love of the game and for development. Like i always say, the administrators failure is ours as well being soccer addicts. Good day.

  25. chance on Wed, 1st Apr 2009 10:58 PM

hi Zambian players.we must be very careful how we move players to other clubs, I refer to those agents who are there to sell players but do nt look at the right time to do that. I must say this we should never do things like how Collins Mbesuma was sold. The boy was not ready at that time and look now its taken ages for him to recover. BaSinguluma take care I love your game and how you are coming up. but take a breath, open your eyes to see if you can take it at this stage or you need to get more ready.
I appreciate the Coach RH is got the passion and heart and its at this time that all Zambian players must use this opportunity to develop the skill needed for building Zambian Soccer.
I will love to see 80% zambia soccer goes u in the next 2or 3 years.

haha…I was suspecting this headline when i logged on to the site this morning. Afterwards I checked the Marseille squad and its very strong, especially in the strikers department. To me it seemed an unlikely move, but I still fell for it! More hope than anything else…hehe
