Zambia will face neighbours DR Congo in the semi finals of the CHAN 2009 tournament on Wednesday while Ghana plays Senegal in the other last four clash. Despite being hammered 3-0 by Ghana last night the Tresor Mputu led Congolese qualified after unbeaten Zimbabwe were held to a goalless stalemate by Libyia in the other Group B fixture. Defender Dennis Banda was the unlikely hero as Zambia forced a last-gasp 1-1 draw with Tanzania in Ivory Coast Saturday and reached the African Nations Championship semi-finals. The result coupled with a 0-0 stalemate between Ivory Coast and Senegal in the other Group A match left the Zambian 'Copper Bullets' top of the table on goal difference. Full story
