Good beginings for Mayuka. Hope that transfer issue has been buried now so that the lad can concentrate on making an impact. Iam sure 2010 will be interesting with the likes of Chris, Mayuka,Fwayo & Kalaba.

Mr Georgia Russia i got this article from bbc i hope it clears the confusion about shereni

Monday, 20 October 2008 16:38 UK

Disappointed Shereni quits Warriors

Shereni in action against Algeria at the 2004 Nations Cup finals

Zimbabwe international Harlington Shereni says that he will not play again for the Warriors, after the team's exit from World Cup qualifying.

The Warriors failed to reach the final round of qualifying for the 2010 World Cup and Africa Cup of Nations, finishing third in their group.

The 33-year-old France-based player was at the 2004 Nations Cup finals and featured in the latest campaign.

But qualifying for the 2012 Nations Cup will not begin until late in 2010, and Shereni feels that he will be too old.

"I'll be 35 by then, and I don't think I'll still want to play for the national team," Shereni told BBC Sport.

"Hopefully they'll have groomed some youngsters in the team who can take us to the World Cup and Nations Cup."

"I thought the Nations Cup in Angola would be end of my playing days with the national team, but now I'll concentrate on my club."

Shereni has been playing in France for six years, and has been loaned to Ligue Two club Strasbourg by top-flight side Nantes.

Strasbourg were relegated from Ligue 1 last season, but are currently top of the table.

"We're hoping to go back to Ligue 1 next season, the team is like a family, we understand each other and I'm enjoying my football there," Shereni said.

In 1999, Shereni moved from Harare club Dynamos to Swiss side Delemont.

He played for Dynamos in the African Champions League campaign that year, and he believes that the club did well to reach the semi-finals of this year's competition.

"I'd like to congratulate them, they relied on donations for their campaign, and I never thought they'd do so well against well-managed teams with so much sponsorship," he said.

"It's an exciting thing to get to the semi-finals."
