Warriors, Egyptian coach part company

Zambia Premier League side Kabwe Warriors has agreed not extend Egyptian born coach Mohammad Fathy’s one-year deal that expired at the end of the season

 

According to reports, Warriors and Fathy met on Monday and both parties agreed not to renew the contract. And already Fathy is being linked with a possibility of taking over the reigns at Sunset Stadium were the 2006 league Champions, Zanaco are hunting for a coach.

 

Nicknamed the Pharaoh by magnificent people’s team fans arrived in the country early this year and was a surprise choice to replace the late Arnold Mtonga at Railway Ground.

 

Fathy guided Warriors to sixth league standing on a 16-team log table. Under his tutelage the Kabwe based team recorded 12 wins, 7 draws and 11 defeats.

    its really a disappointment and is one if the cotributing facrors that hinders the development of teams in our country.
    i wonder how a team would do better than they did considering the fact that
    they had a foriegn coach who was getting to know the players as in understanding them.personaly,i think kabwe warriors would have done far much better the coming season had they continued with the same coach.
