Great result irrespective of actual scoreline and whether or not we were not creative after. I never watched the game and so far haven’t read any analysis but am very happy. We just need a similar or better result in Zambia when Angola comes so we can make use of the championship to blood our local players seeing we messed up on the Under-20 and Under-17 championships.

Considering Man Utd beat Man City 1-0 and Arsenal followed up that result with a 2-1 win over Chelsea, it was a great footballing weekend despite drawing our 5-a-side match and being beaten in madalas by Legends 10-4!

    Go Zambia go!

Well done boys I hope this marks the turn of events into our favour. Gentlemen as soccer fans why can’t we help our team by making contributions say £10 each to help our team prepare for AFCON and SA2010. This is just a suggestion. We can have someone open an account at a bank in Zed. What do you think lads

  24. Taj on Sun, 30th Nov 2008 11:23 PM

Quet a good result though we did not watch the game, let us be reminded that wining 1-0 away in angola is far much dangerous than if we had lost 1-0,am sure you all that angola is the team that broke the record that zambia held unbeaten for decades @ the independence stadium,i would advise the boys to remain focused & if posible faz dont break camp, angola will surely be coming here for nothing but a win & on their day we all know what they are capable of doing, they have done it before nothing can stop them now.people dont waste time on that an’s chap, lets just talk about & dont respond to what ever he says, after all he is talking of sambia an island controlled by his useles brain, this is zambia not sambia, lets no bother..

Zamfoot can open this account and we can make our contributions. Zamfoot what do you think?

    I need clarity…
What Is the difference between afcon and chan?

  28. Bola Panshi on Mon, 1st Dec 2008 7:50 AM

This is great reading and very much encouraging. Like most of the above, I also think the team shouldn’t break camp. We should prepare adequately for the return leg (putting in mind what happened with U 20 Egypt).

    Gongrats Chopolopolo.

Another congrats to the U20 for the 3-0 bashing of Seyschelles.

Sad to learn of what happened at the Nkwazi – Nkana game which I hear (unconfirmed) that the match was abandoned due to riotous behavior of fans after a penalty was awarded to Nkwazi. I SERIOUSLY hope this is not true.

Zamfoot (or anyone) please give an update on this issue.

  29. chamwe kaira in Windhoek on Mon, 1st Dec 2008 7:56 AM

How can they riot at Nkwazi (a police team)? Were where the police-on duty and off duty? Sad I grew watching football at Edwin Imboela. Those days they were no riots, Nkana must just go back to division north.

  30. Onzuna on Mon, 1st Dec 2008 7:57 AM

This is great news, winning away is never easy, this shows thart the guys in the Chan squad are putting in a lot to book places in the main squad.

    Congrats boys.

Zamfoot any chance of a player analysis, would really like to keep track of whose doing well in Chipolopolo colours. Good that Given still has the touch.

Hi gents, good weekend for us as a country indeed lets hope its a sign of better things to come, response to Kumschecat, Chan is the lesser version of afcon, Chan is the Africa Cup except a country can only feature players in the local league, while as you know afcon allows you to pick any player provided he is from the country be it he ply’s his trade outside his homeland, as for the Nkana game, well it wasn’t really a riot, the was a protest at a penalty given in injury time, silly decision by the ref i must say, ba Fewdays Musonda [Nkana Assistant Coach] walked on the pitch and asked his players to leave, Ba Patrick was against this and so was i, what should have been done was let the match end but record with the commissioner that they were playing under protest, the might have points docked and then they are doomed, i would really have loved Nkana to survive at this rate i wonder, one game to go against young arrows

This site is for smart patriotic zambian fans. EVEN IF you are ‘not known’,please make positive contributions. If you want to critisize, dont use dirty language, otherwise dont comment. Let us be world class fans and citizens EVEN IF our country is underdeveloped. The key word is be smart-Only then will the chipolopolo fans appreciate you EVEN IF you are annonymous.
