Former under-23 striker Given Singuluma will start featuring for premier league club Zanaco fc.
The 2006 league Champions have swiftly moved to register the former National Assembly hit man. The Sunset stadium based club are hoping the 22 year old will fill the boots of their leading scorer Rodger Kola who is scheduled to attend trials in Norway.
Singuluma has been clubless since June after he was released by South African PSL side Bay United. The 22 year old has also been capped at senior level with his latest coming in the friendly against Libya in what was Herve Renard’s first match in-charge of the Chipolopolo Boys.
Meanwhile International midfielder Stophira Sunzu is still in the country. The 18 year old midfielder was expected to have left the country for his new base (France) just after featuring for Zambia under-20.
In an interview with Zambianfootball.net on Sunday, Sunzu said he will be leaving the country this week.
“I have already obtained a VISA and I’m just waiting for my manager to communicate to me the actual day of departure,” he said.
Sunzu was signed by French Ligue 2 Berrichonne Chateauroux on a season loan from Afrisports but he is yet to make a debut for his new club.
In another related transfer news, Lusaka Dynamos striker Philimon ‘Wiz’ Chipeta is set to sign for unknown club in Syria. Chipeta who has been impressive on the local scene in recent weeks after returning from a three years spell in Malasyia was been earmarked for a surprise recall to the national team.
National team coach Herve Renard is believed to have been keeping a keen eye on the man who has scored three goals in five matches for the ‘Elite.’

I watched Given when he played for Kaumba’s Olympic team. He was always an interesting player to watch showing a lot of skill and at that time it seemed he could not stop scoring with his compatriot Felix Sunzu.
Notable amongst the games was when the U23 carelessly bashed, Eritrea (if am not mistaken) 10 – 0 or so at Nkoloma stadium, he had a great game running rounds on those defenders (natu nyumba maningi).
I hop he regains his form at ZANACO.

I think this was a good move for the boy, the Mvela was not very kind to him and in my opinion that league did not appreciate his skillls. It will be good for him to re-establish his mark of being one of the best strikers with Zambian blood in his veins. This boy can do serious damage given the chance to settle and play.

Admin Given actually played for Zanaco in there 1-0 win over LD, he came on as a sub in the second half, i have my doubts that Zanaco is the best place to be especially that they do not have a qualified coach there, if he is not careful he will be like Ignatius Luwipa who has been relegated to the bench alongside Mr. Kennedy “ETO” Nketani

Given looked promising in his under 23 days but I don’t know what went wrong with him.The ZPL is not a bad idea if he wants to rebuiled his career though I also think the coaches at Zanaco are too raw for that task

Spaks you are right. ZANACO seem to be looking for finished products and not grooming. This could be because they do not have a great technical bench.
