Angola
Ian Bakala, 28 (pictured below) rejoined Primero de Augusto after being released at the end of the 2007 Girabola season. Before going back, Bakala had a brief spell at City of Lusaka were he scored two goals in six appearances.
Bakala was followed by former international teammate Perry ‘The Principal’ Mutapa, 29 who joined from Lusaka Dynamos. The duo have linked up with ex-Red Arrows wonderboy Danny Hangunyu and strikers Dube Phiri and Harry Milanzi at the Primero de Augusto.
1998 Cosafa Cup winner Masautso Tembo and ex-Zanaco midfielder Sipho Mumbi joined another Girabola side Petro Huamba from Lusaka Dynamos and City of Lusaka respectively.
Nigeria
Nakambala Leopards striker Signs Chibambo, 21 who was on loan at Zesco United has signed a year contract with Nigerian club Heartlands. Chibambo has been capped once for Zambia and was also an integral figure in last year’s Under-23.
Tunisia
Felix Sunzu Jr, 22 terminated his controversial contract with Tunisian top flight side AS Marsa and is back at hometown club Konkola Blades.
2007 African Youth Cup top scorer Fwayo , 19 is still on the books of the Tunisian giants, Etoile du Sahel. Fwayo has stepped up his development in the reserves and has been used sparingly in the main team.
South Africa
James Chamanga, 28 is being courted by South African glamour side Kaizer Chiefs according to reports.
Defender Davies Nkausu, 22 and midfielder Noah Chivuta, 25 joined South African Champions Supersport United from Pretoria (Tuks academy) University and BidVest Wits respectively.
Nkausu’s former teammate at Tuks, Clifford ‘The Master’ Mulenga, 21 moved to BidVest Wits after his initial proposed move to Isreal fail through in February.
Premier Soccer League new comers, Bay United have kept their leading talisman Linos Chalwe while another Zambian striker Given Singuluma has been released.
Linos, young brothers of defender Sashi and Songwe are clubless after being released by South African clubs; FC AK and Moraka Swallows respectively.
Best pals, Chintu ‘Modibo’ Kampamba, 28 and Billy Mwanza, 25 parted company with their clubs; Free State Stars and Golden Arrows. Chintu failed to impress on trials in Dubai recently.
The duo centre backs have been linked with a possible return to KCM/FAZ Premier league.
Ex-Chambishi and under-20 striker Davies Mwape, 22 has been linked with a move to National First Division side Nathi Lions from Jomo Cosmos.
Lusaka Dynamos’ Hichani Himonde, 22 is believed to have agreed personal terms with Pretoria University about a possible season loan move but it’s not yet clear if ‘The Elite’ hierarchy has sanctioned the move.
New kid on the block, Banda ‘Thierry’ Henry, 19 featured for Thanda Royal Zulu in the Supersport under-19 tourney for assessment but no concrete offer has been tabled. The 19 year old has been linked with Supersport United and BidVest as well.
Clive Hachilensa, 29 clinched a deal with South African National First Division( Mvela), Carara Kicks after a brief spell at Zesco United.
After a frustrating spell in Europe, Collins Mbesuma, 24 signed a three year deal with Mamelodi Sundowns.
France
Stophira Sunzu, 19 clinched a seasonal loan move to French Ligue 2 club Berrichonne Chateauroux where he has linked up with Jacob Mulenga, 23.
Mulenga has returned to Chateauroux after his disappointing loan spell at Racing Strasbourg last season in Ligue 1.
Felix Katongo, 24 has been linked with possible loan switch to Chateauroux from Ligue 1 Stade Rennais.
Germany
Christopher Katongo, 26 signed a three year deal at Bundesliga side, Arminia Bielefeld in a deal worth 1.5 million Euros from Dannish club Brondby IF. Last weekend, Tsunami opened his Bundesliga account and scored his first goal for Bielefeld.
Moses Sichone, 31 has finally put pen to paper to a two year contract at third tier (3.liga is a newly formed professional league) side VFL Aalen.
Andrew Sinkala, 29 clinched a one year contract a Bundesliga 2 side FC Augsburg. Sinkala has already featured three times for the club this season
Portugal
2007 Zambian Player of the Year, Rainford Kalaba, 22 has been shipped out on loan to second division side Gil Vicente fc from Superliga outfit Sporting Braga.
Kalaba signed a five year deal with Braga. He is yet to make his debut for Vicente.
The longest running transfer saga of Emmanuel Muyuka’s, 17 proposed move to Portuguese giants, FC Porto is yet to be resolved.
Isreal
Under-20 midfielder Justine Zulu, 19 sealed a five deal to second division side Hapoel Be’er Sheva after impressing on an initial six month loan spell.
Malasyia
Former under-23 defender Kamuzati Kabwe, 25 has returned from a professional stint in Malasyia. Kabwe has so far played three games for Red Arrows.

Thanks so much Zamfoot. Just a point of correction the name of the National First Division team (NFD) Coastal Stream, that Clive Hachilensa signed for is Carara Kicks, and NOT Carcas Kicks. The club is owned by the son of the owner of his former club Free state stars, a Mr. Mokoena.

A tip ask Sir TP the owner of TP Rangers what hapened two years ago. when a ref walken out wiht a bag of meal meal onto the pitch: uncredibel but true story! Luking forward!

i think zambian football is improving,lets see more players play professional football( more especially francis kombe i would like too see him play outside africa ) lets show everybody bolla yapa zed .it got class at times.

why dont you include the fixture for division 3
