Sichone might have signed for FSV Mainz 05?

September 2nd, 2008

Clubless former international player Moses Sichone was yesterday spotted training at Germany second division side FSV Mainz 05 ahead of Monday’s transfer deadline.

But it is still not yet clear whether Sichone managed to clinch a last minute deal.

Mainz coach Jörn Andersen knows Sichone very well having previously worked with him at either FC Cologne or Alemannia Aachen.

Last week, the 31 year old spent four days training with the reserve team of Bundesliga side VLF Wolfburg but failed to impress reserve coach Bernd Hollerbanch.

The ex-Chambishi and Nchanga Rangers’ defender has been hunting for a club since partying company with now third division side Kickers Offenbanch at the end of last season.

Despite a strong interest from another second tier side, St Paulis earlier on in the transfer window, Sichone refused to sign after failing to agree personal terms.

sichone shud have signed for the saints, it seems he will be clubless for a season and thats not a good thing for him anyhow,

no offense to jorn but if he has been through so many clubs his rating as a coach is questionable

good luck to renard for the Togo game

Big Mo, was really hoping that we would see you in the German top flight but in any case I also think you should have gone with St Paulis, you know what they say, a bird in hand is better than two in the bush.

This is good to hear though the time frame is short (1 year) looks like they want to try him out first before committing to a longer term deal.
If this true congrats Mr . Sunzu do zed proud and Jacob big up for the recommendation, this is what we want from your stars based in Europe

Yes Sunsu’s deal is in the Times of Zambia.Good for the boy he has to work hard in the 1 year so that the club signs him on a permanent deal.

Hey Admin, i haven’t seen an article on the Late Hubert Chime who is reported to have died on Sunday.I remember Mr.Chime when i was a young star in Kalulushi when he was National Soccer team manager especially during the coaching era of Col. Brightwell Banda and under the Late Zoom Ndhlovu. He at one time was the Chairman of Nkana football club.He was team manager if i am not mistaken when Zambia won it’s first East & Central African Cup in 1984.
I think this man though i never knew him personally played a big role in the Zambian football circles. May his Soul Rest in Peace.
Other wise a Big up to you Zamfootball for the work you doing in informing us fans on the going ons in Zambian football.I feel at times you give us breaking news when it just happens.

Guyz u should learn research, Moze is a free Agent, when a player is out of contract the transfer window does not apply.Moze can sign out side the transfer window.

    Period!

Ya, Sibs, the loss of Hubert Chime is another blow to Zambian soccer. I am from Kitwe and we used to call him as “Ba Chime!” We had great respect for him as Nkana’s Team Manager. Nkana, we mourn again.
