Everyone needs to relax and be patient. If the guys are good enough they will break the starting 11. Just because they play for the national team does not mean they will walk up to these other clubs and command starting positions. It simply does not work that way, they have to earn it only great players can make that quantum leap and sorry to say but these guys are not there yet. When Issac Chansa went to Sweden he was on the bench the first year learning and waiting for his time…….how far he has come! Question for anyone out there, Why is Edwin Phiri not in the national team or being called up? He is playing in a decent European league and starting on a regular basis facing strikers who are pretty potent and skilled! Just a thought i had………

The biggest problem is Our Football Administrators.They like reaping where do do not sow.The demand very high transfer fees for our developing players which makes it impossible for big European teams to get the Boys.Example,we recently heard that Kabwe Warriors refused the fee Porto FC offered for young Mayuka;saying it was too little for a player of Mayuka’s calibre.We hear our Coleagues from West Africa send these Boys to European clubs for Development,why not Zambia?.We like money too much,and hinder the development of these Players.By Now,we could have Mayuka,Fwayo,Mwansa,Kola and many of the ‘Class of 2007′ playing in developmental teams in Europe and thereafter being poached by Bid Clubs like Arsenal,Man U,Madrid etc.Let us think again,money is never enough.

zambian players shud not be rushed to play abroad coz they dont even warm those seats on the bench.why shud they be xperinced and reliable wen they dont even play.let them jst come back hom.

Whisper, dont shun the big Leagues. Truly our boys have a lot to learn before they make it big. Both these boys are learning a lot in these teams and once they get refined they will break into their respective first teams. It may take some time but am optimistic it will happen. So there is no need of rushing to Cyprus when there’s an opening in a big league.

Ba Whisper, Yes let them go to smaller leagues but not Cyprus. Let say Norway, Sweden, Danemark, Finland, Russian and maybe second division in France, Portugal, Italy, Germany and probably England though I doubt it if they can be granted work permits in the later.

As for the players please Renard give chance to Edwin Phiri, Davies Nkausu, Boyd Mwila etc

This issue with Felix and Rainford is exactly what I was saying a few weeks ago when people were complaining that some of the boys were invited for trials in Cyprus. They were saying that the Cypriot league isn’t good enough and it was a waste of time going there. Well, as we can see with both Rainford and Felix, the more established European leagues aren’t a joke. We think that our boys can walk into those sides just because they do well when playing for Zed? The guys need time to adjust and learn European football, that is why I think it is good that the boys go to smaller leagues first and if they are good enough and work hard they will be picked up by bigger teams.

Kalampa ni devil, your point here is solid. It goes back to coaching methods as well. Our boys are born with the talent, this element is in their blood, God given, but as for the science in todays game, this is coached into the players and that is what is lacking I also believe. Our coaches are not equiped enough to train players on the proffesional level the game is at today. This 1 month in Germany 2 weeks in England thing should not be seen as the training the coaches need. This should be addiotional training over and above the actual training.

It’s really worrying for the duo especially for felix.
Lets imagine if both players were invited by their respective clubs (Rennes & Sporting Braga) for TRIALS initially

I don’t think they could ve been signed on a permanent deals…..reason is the training methods improred by clubs in Zambia are different to our Euro counterparts.

wat the local clubs do on training is run; ifilayilayi!!!!! And when our boys go to Europe they lack the tactical ability despite possessing the skill i.e both Kalaba & Felix are skillful….

As long we don’t improve and uprade our coaching levels, our boys won’t make the grade or pass trials…Mayuka, Kola, Sunzu, Clifford, Seba Mwansa have failed trials in France, Portugal en Germany.

Lets also invest in coaching……..Kalampa 4 life.

It is indeed worrying that F.Katongo & R.Kalaba are not featuring for their respective clubs.However i think it would have been impossible for these guys to play over the weekend.The guys were out for a week and did train with their friends.Other wise the guys who trained would feel offended if these guys featured unless you are a Lionel Messi or something.
Though i believe Felix will take a bit of time to walk into the Rennes starting 11.The have tremendous players and Felix is among the 9 foreign players at the club.For the club to keep Felix i think the know the potential in the player.
They haven’t loaned him,he just has to keep working hard he is still young.
