Clifford hopes for Chipolopolo call-up-The Post
SOUTH Africa-based winger Clifford Mulenga says he does not hold any hard feelings for being left out of a Chipolopolo Boys training camp in Germany.”I wasn’t told anything but I hope I will be called up for the Togo game,” he said.
“I’m really looking forward to coming to play for my country against Togo and to help the team win.”
Zambia hosts Togo next month in the two sides’ 2010 World/Africa Cup Group 11 qualifier at Konkola Stadium in Chililabombwe.
“I’m training hard and looking forward to the new season when we play Santos at home on August 27,” he said.
And also The Post wrote, TOGO coach Henri Stambouli has assembled 21 Europe-based players ahead of the crucial 2010 Africa/World Cup Group 11 clash slated for Konkola Stadium in Chililabombwe.
Stambouli has since named Arsenal striker Emmanuel Adebayor in tomorrow’s international friendly against DR Congo as he prepares his lads for the decisive September 6 clash with Zambia.

Looking at the Togolese team it looks like the front line has a lot of Fire power. The defence & midfield is full of players from second & third division clubs in Europe.Though i think this game will be cup final as Reinard said.We need the best team to line up for mother Zambia in September.

As long as the novices are featured in this game, Zambia is going nowhere.

If Togo is using about 2/3 of the team from second and third divisons in the french league , we must use sinkala and sichone , why not ? This is our chance , lets get these guys in the team please , Togo has an exceptional line up , we need a solid defence , trust me

That is the right spirit by the coaching staff to call isaac chiposo for national duty.It shows that they are selecting on merit. It doesn’t mean that when one is studying he can not play soccer.People should not be judged by their education or somthing else to national duty but by the content of their character. They should also go to remote areas to scult for talent. We had hard tacklers like Hilari Makasa who came from a remote area.

It appears Togo have assembled their best team in an effort to atleast push for a draw aganist Zambia & win Swaziland at home to ensure their qualification to the next round.Whilst our friends have done all this,we are still in the dark wether seasoned pros like Sichone & Sinkala wil be considered.I could have liked the following to be the starting line-up.1. Mweene,2.Kasonde,3.Musonda,4.Sichone,5.Billy,6.Sinkala,7.Kalaba,8.Chansa.9.Jacob,10.Tsunami,11Felix. Subs-Mayuka,Kola,Chivuta,Chintu,Kombe,Mbesuma,Henry Banda,Kalililo. Ive included Kasonde as a full back coz he has had more play time in the current team.If Sinkala & Sichone wont be called then Chintu & should replace Sichone,Kasonde can go in midfield then we can have Nkausu as a full back

FAZ should have worked hard to get all the players in camp for todays friendly especially over this FIFA international friendly day. Clubs do oblige during this window. The technical team should understand that we are not imposing Sinkala and Sichone on the Coach but just asking him to assess them so that he makes his own informed professional judgement.

The biggest stars for the togolese are in thier front line. This shows what they are coming for to Zambia and yet here we are hoping players like Clive will stop them. It is sad that the decision makers with regards to who wears the Chipolopolo players jersey choose to ignore the supporters plea to have Sichone and Sinkala assesed. This is very sad to say the least. If eish!! its hard to understand some peoples levels of stuborness, to think this is for the WHOLE nation and yet you chose not include Sichone and Sinkala and give a flimsy “I dont know them” reason. KAYA!!!!!

Collins Mbesuma i believe is expected to make his awaited debut for Sundowns this weekend against Supersport. I am sure we will be able to judge how much is left in his tack game wise.Though it’s still too early to judge the guy but i believe we will able to assess the dude.It is about 2 & half weeks before the Togo game i feel this guy will be much better in two weeks.

The camp was a good idea on paper but it is disintegrating into a holiday for those involved. The reports of players deciding they can’t come, others coming late and a medley of uncertainties are not reassuring. I understand that in football things don’t always go according to plan and that the only thing that is certain is uncertainty. Based on the magnitude of the pending game all the stops should have been pulled out to ensure that everyone the coach wanted was there and on time. By the looks of things it seems like the majority of the players in camp at the moment are not the key players Herve expects to use on D-day. Anyways, I hope things get on track – QUICKLY! Train hard boys, with effort comes success!

HERVE is too big headed and arrogant at times.there is no logic why he cant assess germany based players especially that these player play in germany.Yes he is a physical trainer not a coach.I hope kalusha an the team do not influence selection. How can a coach say he does not know them.It means their names were not submitted to the coach so that these players could be assessed. The question is if this is true, who black listed these players?

I just want to use this opportunity to inform my fellow soccer fans that our dear President LPM has died. May His Soul Rest In Eternal Peace. But the question is, is this going to affect sports activities such soccer? For instance, the training program of the national and the forth coming matches? I am sure everything will come to a stand still.

i really think we need sichone n sinkala and my be chivuta in the starting 11 coz with togo’s frontline we need our best and strong players to hold the ball in the midfield and noah , sichone are our bigest players and sinkalas skills n intellegence in middle of the park. as for our strikers i belive we can score they know what’s at stake so i wish the coach can asses thise german based and see for himself how they can fit in anways best wishes,

Unpatriotic Sichone and Sinkala? Always AWOL especially when you need them most. They are Zambia’s most disappointing professionals ever.
