The coach was George Mungwa.
Ba Litana came in a private jet from Saudi Arabia and arrived in Joburg.
D.Phiri, Great Kalu,Andrew Tembo (Denmark/kalinga linga), Wawa(Mighte Assist. coach) Elijah Litana (Ndola rural), Mordon Malitoli(Shi miner ku CB)
Front row: Paul Chellah? Dennis Lota(Mpumalanga aces,SA) Vincent Mutale (coach-in Kabwe), David Chilufya(Zesco UTD), Johnstone ‘One Man’ Commando’ Bwalya.
I remember One man Commando’s goal against Congo….it was a cracker.
Mwape miti also scored a cracker.
Vin Mutale’s goal against Egypt at SA 96 AFCON. Zambia won 3-1.

Good one Bwalya, but I understand that Andrew is back in Denmark, not sure what he is doing there. I think of this group the saddest story must be ba Litana & Mordon. Hope Paul Cchella is doing something. The rest have soemwhat turned out fine.

its in 1997 june 28 when zanbia lost 3nil to SA GOALS COMING FROM HELMAN, MARK WILLIAMS,MASINGA IN A WORLD CUP QUALIFIER IN jo,burg. litana came by jet 22hrs b4 the game and that is where the lope hole for ZAMBIA WAS.THE COACH WAS G.MUGWA. THAT WAS THE LAST GAME FOR EDWARD BROWN BUBBLE KANGWA FOR THE NATION TEAM AFTER BEING INTRODUCED IN THE GAME IN THE SECOND HALF HE ONLY HAD ONE PASS OUT OF THE 33MINUTE IN THE GAME GREAT KALU WAS ANNOYED WITH HIM.THE ATTENDANCE FOR THAT GAME WAS 47,145 AND THAT STADIUM IS FIRST NATIONAL BANK STADIUM(FNB).WITH REST OF THE SQUAD I AGREE WITH MR BWALYA.

it was the best team we had assembled,it took vice president miyanda to go and south africa and watch the team loose terribly,some supporters even started celebrating before the game.that just shows how we underated south africa and they realy taught us a lesson….but the down fall for zambia was after afcon 1998 wen the entrie team was disbanded by faz.i strongly belive that we can still come up with a strong team.

Logic has gottern the line-up right, no need for me to re-type the the same thing.Big Steve,You have wrong info on ba MODO.He works fo Mopani in Kitwe & stays in the house he bought in Nkana East.He is still doing very fine.Paul Chellah is a Staff Sergent in the Zambia Army.Cant FAZ organise a testmonial match 4 these guys where also the likes of Charles Musonda,Stone Nyirenda,Lucky Msiska & other greats can feature?

elijah is in kitwe coaching a local team and he seems to be doing fine one of the boys he is coaching is now playing for the national team. this young man did not manage his affairs very well wasted all the millions he made and became a begger. atleast now he is earning something for his daily bread. those days are gone.
