I somewhat agree with both Dinamo and pasco@unza. I think Sinkala, Sichone and Bakala can be played to add the element of experience but one player I believe should not have made the team is Tana. Non of the National team regulars should also have made the team (Kalilo Kakonje) though on the bench most of the time is stilll a regular. I think Chintu and Billy have establishhed their potential for big games so why not give a chance to a newer crop of defenders. We were suupposed to at least call in three or four of the guys abroad that are playing regular football and have not featured for the senior team yet. This tournament is a massive opportunity for identifiication of new big game players. Though iit would be great to win I think for the next two years the bigger picture is foremost important.

When Zambia was eliminated at the 2008 AFCON I had the same thinking like pasco@unza but with time ive seen that we need to mix old and new talent if we are to make a stable team.I dont think its true to say Sinkala is a madala when players like Essien,Ronaldinho,Casilas & others who featured at the same 1999 world youth cup are still red hot.The cameroun team that beat us 5-1 had madalas like Song & Geremi.In as much as we search for new talent we should not do away with experience

Honestly speaking am not for the ideal of inclusion of very old people like tana and bakala into the national side.Those guys’ time has elapsed its time an opportunity was given to upcoming footballers who are energetic and much to offer to mother Zambia.some saying goes,”If u keep doing da same things will ever be da same”.

I guess the idea behind the inclusion of the likes of Tana and Bakala is for Renard to have a look at as many players as possible .If this is so, then this gesture should also be extended to the likes Sichone,Sinkala,Misheck Lungu ,the players in Finland and Sweeden plus many otherZambian players the technical bench would want to have a close look at in an effort to add value to the current and form a strong team
