French Ligue 2 side Berrichonne Chateauroux are eyeing the services of Chipolopolo midfielder Stophira Sunzu.
The 18 year old on loan Zanaco player from Afrisport is one of the hottest property in Zambia. Sunzu is scheduled to leave for France on Monday and join Chateauroux for pre-season camp.

If the highly rated ‘Viera type’ midfielder impresses he will join international teammate Jacob Mulenga who has returned from a season long loan spell at demoted side Racing Strasbourg.
Sunzu rose to stardom after impressing at the 2007 FIFA World Youth Cup in Canada where his exploits in the midfield earned him a man of the match against Uruguay.
With such kind of background, relagated English Premier League side Reading fc invited him for trials and the young prodigy impressed.
But due to work permit problems, Sunzu lost out on the dream move.
In January this year, he sneaked out of the country with his brother Felix Sunzu Jr ( They went to Tunisian side AS Marsa) but came back while his Felix remained.
On his return, he joined 2005 and 2006 league Champions Zanaco and his performance for the Sunset Stadium outfit earned him a call up to the CHAN squad against Swaziland.
He made his long awaited debut against Swaziland and followed it up with other cap in the 2010 Joint African/World qualifier against the same opposition.
The Chilabombwe born also started for the Chipolopolo Boys’ 1-0 over Swaziland.
Alongside the likes of Rodger Kola, Emmanuel Mayuka, Fwayo Tembo, Hichani Himonde, Nyambe Mulenga, Justine Zulu, Banda ‘Thierry’ Henry and many more exciting youngsters, Sunzu is considered as Zambia’s symbol for present and future.

This is great news, the Canada world cup is still doing wonders for the players that took part in it. If we just have another 5 or six players in the sort of leagues these boys are going to, believe you me Zambia will once again be one of the three African greats. This is fantastic news, Sunzu from strength to strength, go and show the French how it is done Zed style and please do not let the money get to you, you are still very young enjoy yourself just don’t let the fun cross the discipline boundary. Go and do us proud!!!!
