December 12, 2007

Moroka Swallows beat Free Stae Stars 2-0 in an Absa Premiership match thanks to a brace by James Chamanga at Goble Park on Wednesday afternoon.
Zambian striker James Chamanga, who hit a PSL-record five goals against Platinum Stars on Sunday, was again in hot form, hitting a brace to move clear at the head of the Premiership’s scoring charts on nine goals.
After a bright start to the match, it was Swallows who broke the deadlock on the 20 minute mark when Chamanga drilled home a left footed shot from within the 18-yard area to put his team in the lead.
Stars dominated the rest of the first half, but struggled to bring strikers Sthembiso Ngcobo and Diyo Sibisi into the game, leaving the visitors a goal to the good at the interval.
Chamanga then doubled his tally soon after the restart, shooting past goalkeeper Kennedy Mweene after being set up by strike partner Sandile Ndlovu.

Zambia international defender Chintu Kampamba also featured for Free state while while Songwe Chalwe came in the second half for swallows.
In other PSL match involving zambians, midfielder Noah Chivuta played the full match for BidVest while former international goal poacher Dennis Lota came on in the second half for Clive Barker coached Amazulu. The match finished in 1-1 stalemate.
